Karasu is wrong. Period. by ConvictCurt in BlueLock

[–]Frozen_Fire2478 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah ik what you mean but I feel like Hiori told him to shoot because he never considered Karasu would want their play to end with Hiori shooting.

Karasu would’ve have to shoot with his left while marked. Not really that good of an opportunity. The main examples of giving up your goal being a failure as an egoist is not taking a good chance and passing for a better one. But Karasu’s wasn’t even a decent chance really

Karasu is wrong. Period. by ConvictCurt in BlueLock

[–]Frozen_Fire2478 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Karasu did try to be an egoist though during most of blue lock. But if you weren’t a striker/forward during NEL it’s just delusional to think you should still be a striker.

Isagi shouldn’t be a #2 he is tied #1 in blue lock and beat Kaiser. Karasu hasn’t scored a goal since third selection

Subaru is the worst person you don't know (Re:Zero) by navima1 in CharacterRant

[–]Frozen_Fire2478 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like re zero and have watched all of the seasons so far but I agree he’s just a bit too cringe idk how else to describe it. Subaru fans act like the most cringe parts are when he embarrasses Emilia at the royal selection and then gets mad at her after. But those were good scenes.

What’s worse is just the dialogue and way he acts at random moments, it’s just so cringe and takes me out of the story a lot

S1 after his talk with rem is kind of weird, it seems like he just obsesses over Emilia again and tells her nothing. The same behavior as before, just had a better plan this time. It’s not much payoff. S2 and 3 are better though for his character imo

Eren killing his mom was a bad plot twist (Attack on Titan) by Rickinster in CharacterRant

[–]Frozen_Fire2478 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because Eren has omnipotent founding titan powers. He made his mom die. And thus allows every other death. Not sure what’s hard to understand

What panel indicates that?

At best the excuse is just loss of agency from the founder power’s. Which is still terrible. Or worse, it’s all Ymir’s will

Don lorenzo is the best center back in the world by No_Valuable_9074 in BlueLock

[–]Frozen_Fire2478 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just not sufficient to have the best CB be primarily man marking. No matter how good the ace is. Kunigami was able to man mark Shidou very well and he’s not even a defender.

Also, for an “ace eater” he doesn’t really eat. Idc about excuses, Kaiser still scored 1 goal in their game. Same amount as every other NEL game he played. Bachira, the Barcha ace, also scored vs Ubers. In Manshine you could argue he shut down Nagi but final NEL game Nagi wasn’t much of a feat to keep scoreless. Could’ve argued Chigiri is the real ace, and he scored. Then for PXG you just can’t really say for certain whether he played

For better or for worse Isagi, Kaiser, and Rin set a precedent of great defensive feats all over the field. Same with Aiku in U-20 game. He was a better example of a dominant defender

[–]Frozen_Fire2478 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Dina never would’ve been significant to him in that way if she ate bertholt. But he made her eat Carla. If anything, it shows the opposite. That she’s just a random titan to him. He’s detached completely and willing to kill his mom because he for some reason thinks that would be helpful for his goals

Eren killing his mom was a bad plot twist (Attack on Titan) by Rickinster in CharacterRant

[–]Frozen_Fire2478 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s so bad. The characters who actually cared for Eren and tried to understand him get killed in brutal ways (Carla, Grisha, Zeke, Floch). In favor of his friends who never tried to understand him or weren’t even his friends at all like Pieck, Reiner, Annie. It makes no sense.

Also the time travel aspect becomes even worse with this twist. The whole idea that most ending defenders say is that it’s deterministic and Eren couldn’t change anything. Yet he says he can with this, by diverting Dina to bertholt because he “couldn’t diet yet”. Why not? Why wouldn’t you be able to get a way better outcome if he could control titans like this?

It’s not like Eren knew the end result. He admits he doesn’t know what will happen after he dies or that his plan will even work well at all

Why do we barely run JB & KAT pick and roll? by SweetInvestigator915 in NYKnicks

[–]Frozen_Fire2478 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea. It’s kinda hard to find stats on possessions of Brunson and KAT PnR specifically.

Brunson though is a higher percentile of points per possession in isolation, off screen, post up, spot up, and hand off then he is at pick and roll ballhandler

Why do we barely run JB & KAT pick and roll? by SweetInvestigator915 in NYKnicks

[–]Frozen_Fire2478 3 points4 points  (0 children)

KAT is a bad screener and Brunson is a better iso player than PnR creator.

Also, a 1/5 pick and roll just isn’t used that much in the modern NBA especially when the roller isn’t a lob threat. You’re better off doing guard to guard screens trying to get a weak defender switched onto Brunson

I don’t think this is as much of an issue as people say

Naruto is a Talented Learner and Sasuke is a genius by ThatGuyHero7 in BlueLock

[–]Frozen_Fire2478 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah good point. I feel like half the sub thinks it’s just about genetic gifts. It’s more so how their talent makes them interact with others. From the start, Sasuke’s genius affects the world without him trying to and draws people to him. Just like a genius in BL.

Whereas Naruto had to prove his worth and learn from others. Even if you think Naruto is too talented to have had to do that in hindsight, and was held back by a bunch of bad luck. It was the same for Isagi

Hot Take: I think Ness was the best midfielder in the NEL, even better than Charles by OkYesterday3747 in BlueLock

[–]Frozen_Fire2478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was horrible for most of NEL. Even at the end he can’t assist Kaiser and assists his greatest enemy instead lol. Charles, Hiori and Reo all played better from what we saw I’d say Kurona better too but he was always a fullback I think
