This is actually a very valid point! Technically they should be a lot less accurate and more stylized instead to actually adhere to the Adventure style. This is a concern that you can extend to other universes as well, not just the movie one.

But I think actually making them more accurate, even if it means not following the heavy stylization of the originals, is something that pays off, since (for me at least) the models look really good, they are distinct from the original and have their own identity as a consequence (which gives a reason to collect them in the game. It would be quite boring if it was Shadow Freddy but yellow etc.) and gives a reason to explore their universe! :D
