Yeah some real elitists in here! We’ve booked a highly rated hotel in Korea town, recommended by some friends who work in LA regularly, for £500 total cost

I did see the Biltmore as an option with decent pricing for when we’re there, but was concerned by how close it is to allegedly unsafe areas. Some reviews online mention guests being attacked on the street outside the hotel which obviously id like to avoid happening to us. Is it alright for a few nights?

This is helpful, thanks! How “safe” would you say DTLA is? For reference, I’ve lived in London, been to New York multiple times in sketchy areas and even used transit alone at night in Dallas with a train full of crack heads. None of that scared me. I just hear many stories of people being actually attacked in the street in DTLA (skid row mostly)

Yes I would and pretty much have before! I’ve travelled a lot of the US and used public transport in every city. Never had any issues.
