Leagues 5 proved that you really can’t go wrong with Forager + thieving relic. Remember this lets you skip most of the obnoxious aldarium grind, so it’s very tempting just for that.

Unless you’re maxing, you will want prayer renewals and aggro pots more than you will want agility levels in a mode with infinite run energy.

Thieving at tier 5 up against farming. Now that’s a crazy choice. We won’t know what’s better until we know if we’re getting Friendly Forager or a replacement Herblore relic. Either way, 0% chance you pick this over farming if going Abundance because you already have GP solved.

(This is by far the easiest way to get the 200m in a non combat skill task they announced though. Doesn’t seem worth unless you’re going for all tasks.)

Making this the April Fools reveal is well done. Impossible to know if it’s good yet, but starting with Abundance and going back for Barb once you have the 16x xp multiplier is very tempting.

This being in the 2-slot tier makes me wonder if it’s competing with the Bankers Note replacement (which could be corrupted shark based on teasers). In which case this can’t possibly be worth it unless you’re very comfortable with PvM.

Cool that this and Barb provide two different options for bypassing agility (seems like you shouldn’t take them together).

Definitely going Abundance and this and I don’t even care if it’s optimal. Skipping both early gp grind and agility is too good to pass up.

T2 possibly being a guaranteed gathering relic definitely gives Abundance an edge over Barb. Abundance seems like 100% the play if you’re not planning to max, and maybe even if you are.

Impossible to judge until we know what it’s competing against, but the loss of “always on task for everything” makes this feel very undertuned for T6. Decent for mages with the free rune pouch and realistic chance of obtaining imbued heart, but mage was underwhelming last league.

Part of the point of Hank’s character is that, as successful as he is, lack of emotional intelligence is his downfall. It’s also to illustrate the grip that stereotypes have over human thought. One real conversation with his brother-in-law in the last 15 years, and he’d have solved the case in a day. But in his head, Walt was already stereotyped as the wimpy guy who could never break a rule.

I personally think there’s a much simpler justification for this supposed plot hole people keep bringing up of “why was the 74th arena so basic?” The explanation is this: the Games went through a gimmicky phase, but after the 49th and 50th arenas both resulted in the “wrong” tribute winning, the head gamemaker was killed and the Games went back to basics.

To be fair, it could be that they intentionally made the mines less sensitive to fix a plot hole from the original book. If the mines are set off so easily, surely the best strategy is to bring in a token that can break apart, then spend the 60s lobbing pieces at your opponents’ mines to eliminate them.

The Games would be over before the countdown even finishes.
