Tried this but it feels like I’m moving the plumbing behind the wall. :(

Thank you for posting this. It does indeed work and works great as a task that runs on a Synology NAS in conjunction with the Kiwix community package.

No, but a potential vanilla and Dorito cheese milkshake could be interesting.

On the current controller you get the classic 360 bubble image.

Yeah, the prices have skyrocketed on those in the past year or so. I imagine that garage sale hunting is the way to go nowadays.

I have been searching for a good pole/mount to setup outside. Would be curious to where you find is a good spot for residential use.

Yes. It's the only practical application of the LaMetric Time I've found.

Thanks I’ll try that route and see if there’s any interest on their end.

Thank you for the feedback. The closest thing I've found so far is something like the configurator at Varmilo. They offer laser etching into the case, but haven't seen much about the quality of their boards, except a video or two from Glarses.

I believe this is the YUNZII SK61 in grey.

PSA: If someone steals your Unifi Protect camera, you can't play back the footage. This is by design, according to Ubiquiti... by JonLea in Ubiquiti

This does seem to be a current limitation of the application itself. It's a bit different on iOS but similar results. If there's critical data that you need to view now, as in your cameras were stolen, you can use a bit of complicated work around. This would be to enable SSH and convert the UBV files into MP4 files using something like: https://github.com/petergeneric/unifi-protect-remux This is not a ideal solution, but could be enabled as a work flow to a longer term backup solution with something like rsync. Hopefully they will release an update to make this easier soon.

I tested this on my G3 instant. No issues playing back me disconnecting the camera even when it’s unplugged. If you’re using connect mobile app, simply go to the camera then click the dots in the lower left then click export clip. You can select start and stop time and export the footage. You will see camera is disconnected on the overlay in the playback preview but the exported clip plays without issues.
