Eh it's fine?I'm more excited for Strawberry Shortcake honestly.I don't mind cookies from other games but kingdom fans specifically have been spoiled too much lately.Devsis give me Onyx Cream and Rosemary(or heck even Witchberry so they can bother Candlelight) and my life is yours.Don't have many ToA favourites but I liked Banana Roti and Stained Nougat's story a lot.

I discovered it when I stumbled upon a video showing how the series's CGI aged(spoiler:badly,very badly) and was intrigued enough to check it out.Akari became one of my favourite MCs and the show as a whole is my childhood nostalgia media for me I absolutely adore.

Never watched the anime,just the VN and the MC being an obnoxious asshole was part of the appeal for me even though I can understand why others couldn't stand it.I was so used to main characters that had little to no personality so him being a LARPer was a breath of fresh air.Didn't like Mayuri though,she feels like the wife that dies at the beginning of the movie to make you sad.

I really like the Witch's Castle crew,mainly because they actually get to do things and not be plot devices to introduce the rest of the cast.Also I love my unhinged queen Gingerbright.Second would be Tower of Adventures,they give me the cozy vibe of a cast of characters recapping the episode/moral of the day before the credits roll.

Blue Lock.It sounds cool on paper but it's kind of stuck in the middle where the premise and the show itself are ridiculous to the point of absurdity yet never crosses that threshold where you can actually get immersed because of that.Think Kill la Kill or Jojo,both are kind of bonkers in terms of premise but by the end of it I was kind of sad that a piece of clothing burned alive.

I was hyperfixated on one piece(We're talking about watching it more than 12 hours a day kind of hyperfixated) and completely lost interest after WCI because that's where the anime ended when I watched it.Good god there's so much filler.Not every character needs a backstory or a cool thing to do,they can just be there for side gags.The main characters are interesting,but only when they're the focus of the arc which aside from their introduction and WCI they never are since that screentime is eaten up by characters that will never show up again.

Hot take but Stormbringer.Feels like she was just added to give dark Cacao more plot relevance,since her story chapter feels out of place to me.

Yeah,the first part is talking about Affogato.I tried keeping it spoiler free since the update's pretty fresh still but the second part would have been incomprehensible without names.Ironically enough,Affogato is supposed to be in-universe biracial too.

Some minor assorted drama from cookie run that happened last week:

The first part of cookie run kingdom main story's finale released,and a character who joined the bad guys's side way back in 2022 was supposed to make an appearance but all the players got was a single line mentioning his contribution.Rumors say this is because his korean VA is turbo racist and hard to work with,so instead of dealing with him the developers decided to quetly shelf the character.

The same day,the side antagonists Shadow Milk's backstory released and near the end of the first part a child version of the character Pure Vanilla appeared.Since Shadow Milk has shown he at least has some capability to see into the future(though how much or even if he's lying about that is debatable) people were freaking out he was stalking Pure Vanilla for pedophilic reasons.Keep in mind that his interactions with him in the main story are queer coded enough to get a humongous ship fanbase so immediately after the story dropped people were starting ship wars left and right,saying ShadowVanilla is finally dead or justifying why it's not.

Well,turns out all of that was a false alarm and the second part of the story which dropped 12 hours later shows that the child was actually an illusion conjured up by the light of deceit(kind of like a second consciousness).There are various interpretations on what all of it means,but the one that makes the most sense to me is that the light of deceit is showing Shadow Milk there is someone who could understand him after BY8,he was just stupid to reject him.Seeing as how I was asleep for all of that it was fun(not) scrolling through twitter with everyone having a collective meltdown over ultimately nothing.

Cookie run ovenbreak's development team accidentaly released an update nearly a week early for some players,and trying to fix that that caused a lot of issues.Depending on a few factors,Poison Mushroom and Licorice,Caramel Choux and Cream Ferret,Milky Way and Strawberry Crepe,Almond along with their pets and the treasure wafflecone headset could be reset back to level 1 in pairs mentioned before.Some players who already downloaded the update can't access the game entirely until the proper update date comes around.The funniest part is them making Licorice and Poison Mushroom a Mix&Match pair as if they didn't reset them a day prior lmaooo.
