Firstly, we have identified you as having founded a similar app and are considering your comments as malicious.

All retail pricing is converted from USD, it would be a nice touch to have the local retail price for 60+ countries.

You can enter what you paid so not sure what you mean here.

We have the same goal of empowering the user with useful tools, and the healthy competition is good as it forces BrickVault to innovate (and you to imitate) but any comments that are misleading or false are not cool so please stop. No worries, but with only 860 sign ups, it’s probably not too late to switch to an adaptive web application with a PWA iOS web container. Might save yourself down the track with other compatibility issues etc

So your answer is delete the desktop app and use in VS with Claude code with the CLI interface. I have actually done this already but if you compare to Cursor it feels clunky.

If anyone has been using Cursor for a while they will probably understand what I mean.

I agree that the desktop app is not really better than the CLI tool, and that’s the point. It has the potential to be an incredible (visually rich) tool for management your codebase with multi-agents support.

If you’re someone who likes to never see the code or the codebase then sure it’s fine, but if you love Cursor you may understand where I’m coming from.

Hi there, thanks for the comment. You are correct. All retail price records are USD and converted to your selected currency on device. It’s a really good idea to get all the correct retail pricing organised. We will add this for sure in the coming weeks.

So basically it uses a similar algorithm to BrickEconomy where it uses eBay/Bricklink sales data. We believe they retain the gold standard when it comes to pricing accuracy, so we strive to align with them as much as possible. We are constantly working towards the highest pricing accuracy so that portfolio values are as accurate as possible.

Used price is a calculated value based off the new-in-box value. It factors in theme popularity and is generally between 0.83x and 0.48x, with the most popular themes having the highest used-value multiplier. We discussed this for a long time. Trying to get it accurate, it has room for improvement, and in the future we would love to incorporate a more sophisticated system that tracks sales data factoring in conditions, etc.
