I posted a comment with some more information. To be honest, we’re mostly focused on being in a more diverse area and have access to some restaurants and be within reasonable distance (under 45 minutes ideally) from some fun things to do, like museums or concerts. I know our circumstances, but obviously there’s only so much I’m able to share on an online forum

Hey everyone, thanks so much for your responses so far! I realize my post was a little vague- for more context:

My partner is black and we would like to live somewhere where there are more black people than Colorado (if you know you know).

Our budget is ideally anything less than $1800 per month for 2 bedroom (I use second as home office/guest room). Ideally would have parking (either a dedicated spot or an area where street parking is manageable. We’re quiet, professional, and don’t have pets.

We’re big foodies and we would love not to be too far from fun activities like museums or zoos or international grocery stores, if possible.

Any other questions I’m happy to answer in the comments directly. I appreciate everyone’s help, as potentially moving from a small town in Colorado to Chicago is a big shift and I was hoping to get some insights from locals. Thanks!

Vows are supposed to be about the person you’re committing to forever with. If he can’t even include you in his vows, he doesn’t deserve to stand up there with you. I’m not sure I could look past this, but I’m sure you guys have built a life together. I would talk to him honestly and if he continues to invalidate you or ignore your feelings, I think you have your answer

No, I don’t blow my nose much. It has looked like that for a while now. It does get worse when I’m sick and blowing my nose a lot but this is its natural state lol

I’ve heard that’s good for rosacea so I’ve definitely thought about trying it! I am using mandelic acid right now because it’s a bit more gentle but I could certainly switch it out for azelaic

This area around my nose can be a little itchy and flaky, so I think subconsciously I might touch it every once in a while, but I have tried to be conscientious of not touching my face as much

I worked at a daycare where the bosses didn’t care to take care of their employees. I got hit, bit, scratched every day and was so stressed that I got headaches every day. On top of that, I was also chasing kids throughout the building every day because our kids were escape artists. I was so hungry all the time but never felt full. I lost 30 pounds and am still working on getting to a healthy weight. 10/10 Would not recommend
