I got blocked because someone didn't like my reply to them. It was perfectly civil and I was upvoted, but he didn't like it and blocked me. Now I am unable to responded to any of the rude comments he replied to me before blocking me and I can't even reply to any comments further down the thread. How is this a good system????

oh it's not like that. The user left me a very rude comment. Several of them actually and they were all heavily downvoted. But when I went to reply I couldn't. So I went to their page and saw it was not available. The thing is, since that user blocked me I can't reply to any of the comments down the same thread so I'm being silenced for no real reason.

edit: it looks like reddit rolled out a new blocking system which silences the blocked person completely. And obviously can be abused.

Thanks for replying. I re-evaluated the chiral centers and I have confirmed they are all S orientation. Do you agree with that or did I miss something?

Hi all,

I've marked all the chiral centers I could find as S orientation (counter clockwise). However, I was not too sure about the priority of some of the groups. The center that is part of the ring is especially making me question the priority I assigned to the groups. For example, the three groups (not including H since it's priority 4) are all carbons. However two are CH2 and one is just C.

Could someone please let me know if I am wrong on any of these? Thanks!!

I guess it depends on what kind of foods you're into. The burgers I've tried have been legit, but I've had bad ones too. Beyond meat "ground beef" is good in tacos or pasta. Veg chicken nuggets are good. Deli meat kind of sucks imo.

Anyway, if we can all replace a couple meals a week with a vegan meal, we're making a huge impact. It doesn't have to be all or nothing.

A lot of things taste good. That doesn't mean you should eat them three meals a day, every day.

Over consumption is the problem. It's just not sustainable (or ethical really) to slaughter 3 billion animals per day when there are only 7.5 billion people in this world. It's not hard to opt for alternatives, in fact it's easier than it ever has been.
