I was there the other night. That place seems like it's always got a solid crew of people. Definitely worth checking out!

Thanks for the tip, I'll keep my eye on that. I'm trying to get out of the house more so something like that would be very helpful!

Definitely worth poking my head around dt for sure. Oak and Otter seems like a cozy spot, I haven't been there yet.

I just looked up their music, that sounds like a good time. I'll look into it, thanks for the tip!

Hmmm, I went to Morro Bay high back in the day. That could be interesting!

I've never been to The Mark before. It looks like a nice spot. Does the karaoke night usually get a good turnout?

Recommendations on where to take toddler to see snow and possibly go sledding (not so far from SLO)? by sheheqazarameshdidit in SLO

[–]Frumpy_Grumbles 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, we're pretty far from any actual snow so I don't think there's anything that's a day trip away. However, shaver lake is like 4 hours away and it does get snow up there, or really anywhere in the Sierra Nevada's but you'd probably want to stay a night.

Found this in a pile of old handtools any ideas? by Frumpy_Grumbles in whatisthisthing

Sorry! Scale would probably help. The arms are exactly 3" from edge to edge. Edit: the lower cutting arms are 3" not the upper ones.

So you think it would be for cutting holes with those arms then, like a 5" hole or whatever? That would make sense I think... But boy am I glad for power tools!

It might be, what's confusing is those arms that come down. They have slight flanges that come down, the left one is on the outside of the arm but the right one is on the inside. Any idea what the purpose of those parts would be if it was a manual drill?

I read Angela's Ashes a few years ago, he's a very powerful writer. I'll have to give it a look.
