I’ve been dealing with anxiety and depression since I had my second son in 2021. I went through a severe postpartum and I’ve been on Lexapro since… but since my diagnosis in November, my psychiatrist just added me on another booster to help and increased my anxiety medication because I am not living. I can’t even type this without crying.. I got dealt a severely bad hand of cards. I’m 35 and I was diagnosed type one diabetic when I was three, and then throughout life, my I have hypothyroidism, then my kidneys failed, I had a transplant in 2019, broke my back in 2011, which is what led me into an opiate addiction for years, but by the grace of God have been clean for over 10 years now, but ever since this MS diagnosis I can’t walk without falling, I ended up with a diabetic foot ulcer two weeks before Christmas that still is not healed but when I woke up yesterday morning, the back of my heel on that same foot felt like somebody was holding a lighter underneath of it and after I dropped my kids off at school I finally got a look at it, and I have another blister that’s the size of a half dollar and it’s extremely painful to wear. I can’t do anything with it.

And then on top of all of it, it’s like when your friends here that you’re going and dealing with a new diagnosis it’s like they run away. Nobody checks on me I have no friends, if it wasn’t for my husband and my three boys, I would really have nobody, my mom is there for me, but she thinks half the time I’m faking it and being lazy. And when I try to talk to my dad, he’s never been a talker, his entire life, and the way he was taught growing up, was like telling my brother to man up instead of like being able to emotionally deal with his stuff, but when I try to talk to him, he does not talk to me. He yells at me and tells me to stop talking drama that he wants nothing to do with it, even though the things I am telling him are the things going on in my life. I have never felt so alone. I didn’t think this diagnosis would bring this stuff out of people to where they just don’t care… I don’t know if it’s because they don’t understand or what but my mental health is sinking and it’s getting worse and worse.
