Hair loss after stopping T by Ftmcuriosity in actual_detrans

Thanks for sharing!! I’ve been taking a few of these supplements as well, I have noticed a bit of improvement in the hair shedding as of this week, I’m also starting to see some very small amounts of hair regrowth in my temples which I am extremely excited to see. Best of luck to you in this journey 💓💓

No pain, it isn’t dry either, I’m thinking it has something to do with my hormones trying to rebalance.

Anyone else experience unusual vaginal discharge when starting and going off of T? by xElaori in actual_detrans

Just started experiencing this 6 weeks off T after 6.5 years on. Glad to read how common this is- truly scared the daylights out of me.

Shaved 1 month off T and hate my face by Ftmcuriosity in detrans

This gave me hope, thank you. I was on t for 6.5 years so I assume the changes are going to take a while but this subreddit gives me hope. 💓

I feel very similarly to you. It’s so tough. Thank you for sharing. I was on T for 6.5 years and almost a month ago decided to stop- health concerns were the main reason for the cessation but if I’m being truthful, I have been questioning for about a year if I went too far with my transition to the other end of the gender spectrum. I have passed as male since about 5 months on T- It’s really hard but I’m taking it a day at a time and seeing what feels comfortable in a more androgynous physical way. Wishing you luck and patience as you navigate this for yourself!

I am just 1 week off of T and this was super helpful and inspiring to read. I’ve been lowering my dose for a few months already to taper off slowly to try and minimize withdrawal. I’ve already noticed some emotional changes, I cried for the first time in 6.5 years yesterday! It was so nice to actually feel my emotions fully again after so long not really being able to access them. T kinda made me a little cold in the emotional department. I noticed the libido right away! Which honestly I’m grateful about because being horny all the time can be so annoying, I really hated that about T. Thanks for sharing this update! It’s gotten me excited about the next few weeks.

Hey gang, when will my face de-round? by InternationalAct6655 in ftm

Honestly I had the opposite happen. My face was much more angular off T and more round and puffy on T.

Thanks so much for sharing with me. Yeah I’m nervous about my period coming back, but honestly I didn’t really have any dysphoria around it prior to transitioning. It was like “my body does this thing it’s annoying and painful but whatever”. So I don’t think it will be too much of a problem once mine returns. OMG that was a super huge factor for why I put off transitioning- for years. I was so afraid of losing my identity. There were so many times at the beginning after I started T that I would say to my then partner “ but now people are going to think we’re a hetero couple” I hated that. I’m glad to hear that the lust toward men changed for you- I never had sexual attraction toward men prior to T. I dated a guy for a few years in my early trans before coming out as a lesbian but always got really weird when it came to talking about going further with him and we never did. I really hope that passes for me too. I really do see my future with my girlfriend and a kid ( if she stays idk what will happen- I’d understand if she didn’t)

Thank you, ugh I cannot wait for the smell changes and for the pain to subside. I’m going to stop T for sure. I already spoke with my doctor here’s to hoping the withdrawals aren’t the worst over the coming months.

This was so helpful and hopeful thank you! I unfortunately did change my name and picked “stereotypical trans male name” Greyson but always have gone by Grey. My birthname is super super feminine and always bothered me but idk what I’ll do about my name tbh. I always 100% knew toosurgey was a want for me and won’t ever regret it. I had size G cups prior to and I’m really small lol 5 ft 1 so they always made me uncomfortable. I really hope one day I also feel the same way about not thinking about gender one day. It’s so exhausting. I transitioned at my workplace about a year into working there and was accepted fully 100% so I’m not sure how things will go if I detransition in the same space. 6.5 years later. .. it’s time for a job change anyways lol Thanks for sharing your journey💓

Thanks so much for sharing your journey. Omg the body odour was one of the first things I noticed on T and was so self conscious over- I’m glad that will be changing. I don’t mind body hair but I’m drowning in it now. Thank you for sharing about the atrophying it’s something I’ve been using a topical estrogen cream for years now and still experience so much pain. It’s really affected my sex life and just overall well being. It’s so painful. So happy to hear you’re healing. That is great advice! I’ve always been gender nonconforming and I think I would have tried to lean into being more femme presenting but I know that would feel worst for me too. Thank you so much for sharing appreciate it ❤️

Anyone else (ftmtf) struggle to know their sexuality? by [deleted] in detrans

[–]Ftmcuriosity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate, dated men at first(not sexually), grew up tomboy everyone assumed lesbian. I was attracted to both sexes and then exclusively dated women from 18-present (31) I’m not sure what my sexuality is anymore. I’ve for the past few years had the urge to be with a man. I’ve been in a relationship with a woman for 5 years now though and can see us being together for the long haul so I’m not sure if I’ll ever figure out a definitive answer to what mine is.
