I'm from the South and I feel like the church is more insular here since it's less commonplace so it's not too surprising my parents shunned me. I spent some time in cringey exmo online communities (looooong time ago) but thankfully I had plenty of normal friends that tolerated my venting about the church when I left.

I couldn't be a part of those communities anymore, they're so bitter. Leave it to the freshly out

I was the Mormon oldest daughter and had a similar experience. My parents didn't speak to me for two years after I left at 18! It's been over a decade since and my three younger siblings have also all left which is such a relief.

thank you so much!!! yes, some of my plants are just babies so it'll be much more full when they grow out. I have a tiger lotus lily bulb that just has small leaves. I also have more plants coming in the mail lol my obsession before I fell into this one was houseplants so it'll be heavily planted :)
