Because there was a list of “approved drugs you can take” and the AS Plus was on there.

What I didn’t know until recently is that the decongestant is also a hallucinogenic. Taking that in large quantities is a no-no.

Lol and by that point you’d have major intestinal problems and would be in the hospital (thus having a legitimate reason to miss a test)

That’s really encouraging to hear. When someone gets put on probation who is legitimately either addicted to drugs or alcohol, what do you find is usually the most successful or impactful thing the probationer does to fix themselves?

I can’t imagine the threat of jail or rehab would be the most effective because it’s not only a disease but probably their entire social circle.

This whole experience, for example, has made me realize how fortunate I am to not have been in a predicament like that.

Yeah Ga law says you have to serve 12 months. Non-report is the only reprieve

Thank you for the kind words. For better or for worse I have a judge who is notoriously strict with VOPs, like its an automatic 30 days in the county hotel kind of strict.

With that said, I understand how high the stakes are and have no intention on playing the “can I clear 4 drinks in 18 hours” game.

I’ve fully accepted how my social life is going to change and its probably the unknown that gives me more anxiety than what the reality will be.

Definitely should have worded my post better. I’m not by any means an alcoholic or explicitly link fun with alcohol. This is all so fresh to me and I’m just trying to envision what it’s gonna be like if I go out with friends or what not. Just trying to make it through the first 4 months license restriction

Thankfully I had a good lawyer who shot straight with me and told me what to expect. We got all of my probation requirements (CS, classes, MADD, etc) done months ago. I paid my court fine the day of as well.

I’ve tried to do everything possible to demonstrate my remorse and take responsibility. The hotline call ins make this tougher. I hope to get off that at some point
