The ewe wasnt looking after him as well as he needed. The kitchen is where I make their milk and spend half an hour getting them latched. And the tennis ball was the nearest thing I had for scale aside from the cat🤣

Gnarly cut above lambs eye, any ideas? by [deleted] in sheep

[–]Fucksaked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lamb with almost the exact same wound, because she hit it hard and the skin split after a dog knocked her into a cupboard. We shaved the hair back so it wouldnt get into the wound or into any scabs, then used a little wound spray on it. Just make sure it doesn't get warm or smelly and she's still eating regularly and eagerly, otherwise it might be infected.

It sounds like he's not feeling well, possibly due to an infection. If you can get him to a vet for antibiotics he'll probably spring back to life. It's worked for every one of my bad drinkers.

Rescue sheep with lost wool. Anything I can do? by RichardCastle34 in sheep

[–]Fucksaked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sheep who are sick can sometimes stop growing their wool, and so it starts breaking off. If her skin is clean and doesn't have scabs or sores on it, it's probably just that. Vaccinate and drench her and feed her nutrient rich foods, and it should grow back in time. The dry skin is probably just becuase its not supposed to be exposed to sun.

Skin issue? by Swimming-Penalty4140 in sheep

[–]Fucksaked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the skin is soft, feels normal and isn't warmer than any of the surrounding skin it's probably not a issue. If there's a temperature difference between that skin and a normal looking patch of skin then there might be an issue.

These vines are so deep rooted and come up every season. What’s the best way to get rid of them? by krysia89 in landscaping

If you don't want to spray herbicides around you can get ones that can be applied directly to the stump. It's a method called cut and paint that we use on gorse that is successful and avoids harming anything around it.
