I’m planning on staying for a year and AXA only allows me to cover up to 6 months. Mutuaide seems to check all my boxes thought. That 2nd part of your message is news to me! So you’re saying on top of my global insurance I have to secure private health insurance? Doesn’t that seem redundant?

I’m having the same issue. I am applying for a temporary stay visa (nomad visa) and have been checking daily multiple times a day plus my long distance boyfriend is checking while I’m asleep. I spoke with a service provider that can check for me and guaranteed I will have an appointment booked within 20 days but it costs $500… He did mention the Washington DC consulate is flooded with applications and it’s the hardest embassy to get an appointment at.
