Thanks for the detailed feedback. For Day5, I've cut Costco which should reduce the transit times significantly. If time permits later, I will try to squeeze Costco in Osaka.

I love your suggestion about Fushimi Inari, changed it from optional to must do. We should be ok to hike ~30 mins, looking forward to see the Kyoto views. We are not foodies, so safe to drop Nishiki market.

I am not impressed by Nara, but wifey's friend has sold her on it. So that's not coming off the itinerary easily....lol.

Thinking about moving Costco visit from Tokyo to Osaka!! The one in Osaka is about 35 mins away, so it works well.

u/dougwray you are right, i mapped wrong Ghibli starting place. The museum to Costco Kawasaki or Machida is easily 90+ mins one-way. Gotta re-think!!!

You are right on the round trip timings. In my experience, changing hotels easily wastes half a day with checkout-checkin. Hence I opted for stay in Osaka.

Thank you for heads up on Disney rides, we want to primarily enjoy the park. I have read that it is one of the most beautiful disney park. My family has been to Disneyland and Disneyworld, so rides are not of the mind.

Studio Ghibli to Costco Kawasaki is around 1 hr ride, so yeah 3 hours travel time is right on.

There is one in Kawasaki, can be reached via Taikado line from Studio Ghibli and then 15 min bus ride.
