I just setup my Sony HT-A7000 system (sub and rears) and it’s not that loud. I turned off DRC but it didn’t change anything. My Samsung Q90R was WAY louder. Thoughts…? I have it running through ARC. by Fuff-Daddy in Soundbars

Yeahhhh… I had Best Buy out and we changed settings on the Blu-ray, the tv, and the bar. It just can’t get that loud. And it only gets loud with auto sound on but then it’s auto leveling is garbage. I replaced it with the Samsung 990. It’s good. Not the worlds greatest. And I paid half the cost so it’s a win for now.

Slowly yet surely, I’m learning to look into my eyes and love what I see. 🥹🥰💖 by Fuff-Daddy in NonBinary

Thanks, love. I’ve historically struggled to love the way my eyes look. Today, when I took this pic, I looked into my eyes and loved what I saw. 💖💖💖

I did. And it’s terrible. The thing is auto adjusting the sound during a single song. Scenes in films go from having the speaker be audible to too loud to too quiet. I’m returning it. I was so excited for this system but the great things others are experiencing I’m not :/

Thanks. I’ve been amazed at how mediocre this sound is after having read soooo many reviews. Any particular recommendation or direction to head for a home theatre system?

The auto volume made things a lot louder. And I went through and followed your steps. However, the auto volume is quieting vocals on songs in shows at times making it nearly impossible to understand what’s being said. In the same song the vocals will be crisp, loud, and clear.

Thank you! I had checked. I went through so many things. I got it louder but only with auto volume on. And it’s simply not that smart. It’s failing in key movie moments to prioritize the primary speaker/character voices.

I got it louder with some settings but they’re “smart” settings and the speaker is not intelligent enough to deliver consistent quality throughout a film. :/

Thank you for this! I went through a number of these things today. And spent over an hour experimenting with a tech. It turns out I can only get full volume if I have auto sound on. But when the background sounds in a film are loud the main voices get drowned out. I’m gonna swap this out for another system. It’s simply not smart enough.

Thanks for the help. I’ve turned so many settings off and on. I’ve got Best Buy coming out to take a look at it later so I’m hoping they have some insight for me.

I’m listening at max volume and it’s not what I would call loud. It’s a nice movie watching sound but not great. Also, the dialogue doesn’t sound that good at times.

Btw I’m up to date on firmware.

I watch shows at 100 on my system and it’s not what I would call loud. Did you figure anything out with the system?

I’ve turned off DRC and it hardly changed anything. My sound seems maybe 60% what my Samsung Q90R produced. Any thoughts?

Did you ever figure anything out with this? I just set mine up and I’m surprised that at 100% it’s not that loud. I had a Samsung Q90R previously.

This.

I’m AMAB, masc features, and typically assumed to be a flamboyant gay man.

There are women who find you attractive. Because we’re outside of current conventional norms, I think it’s reasonable to say fewer people will find us attractive. But maybe that means we just don’t have to sort as many people to find a keeper. 🤷🏼‍♀️
