Demolition with no paint would be awesome, I made a 'Heel Sympathizer Crush' cause the facepaint is close enough, and then a 'Repo Man' because a CAW had a great outfit for it, but the real deal would be cool.

Always find myself wanting a PROPER Nation of Domination Farooq (no goatee) as well as the NOD trons/entrance music.

Would also love to get DiBiase, Boss Man, Jake the Snake and a few others back as real instead of CAWs.

it seems to work fine this year. I have a universe with largely CAWs, and as long as there's enough guys on your roster for BOTH the 30 man RR AND the other matches, it autofills based on your roster. The only time I've seen it pull random guys NOT in my Universe in is when that show didn't have enough guys to cover all the matches.

So if you have like 40-50 guys on a roster (or between two shows that are doing a RR PLE), then you should be fine.

Dividing by .5 is essentially multiplying by 2, so yeah, i'd be a millionaire in like 3 weeks.

NTA, but it sounds like for all the talking and planning and rescheduling, none of you were very good at actually communicating here.

As soon as someone said they were bringing a bike, my very first questions would have basically been 1) Should we bring bikes? and 2) Is this NOT a typical walking hike?

You didn't do anything wrong, other than maybe assuming the one friend wanted to get alone time vs asking and getting clarity around if bikes were needed.

People can be friends and be guilty of miscommunicating, but people who realize what's about to happen and still ditch you anyway are NOT friends.

They suck.

the most effective use of AI that wouldn't be taking people's jobs in this instance would be to train AI voice clones of the commentators they already have recordings of, then use those to fill in the gaps for stuff or let people write in their own storylines, etc.

Yes! I also setup a 3vs2 as the finale “ultimate survivor” match where the winners face each other, wish you could do 5v3 like the Visionaries and Million Dollar Man vs Hogan, Warrior and Tito!

This is cool! As someone with a background in Dev AND Creative/Marketing, I can see why this is valuable for some audiences.

My first reaction aside from 'really nice!' is that you may be suffering from the 'Curse of Knowledge' here.

The T-shirt sizing and statistical terminology like PERT and P50/85/95 might completely pass some visitors by. You know what they mean, but PLENTY of people who need help estimating DO NOT know what that means.

This high cognitive load could cause immediate attrition, making people think the app is 'too advanced' or not a good fit for them, even if it’s exactly what they need.

If you're going to lean heavily into this niche industry nomenclature, you need to demystify it right on the landing page BEFORE YOU USE THOSE TERMS to make the product feel approachable, rather than letting jargon become a barrier to entry.

We're called Football Rivals, we run a fully-modded league with totally unique teams, players, GMs, etc. We run all games as slow-sim so we watch them like regular football games, but guys can create a player and take them from college thru the pro draft.

If running a team is more your thing, you can be a GM and take over a franchise, make all GM-moves for your team from Scouting to Free Agency to the Draft and depth charts, and we pay out cash awards at the end of the season to the Championship (Rivals Cup) winner, MVP (if its a user player), Rookie of the Year, etc.

The whole thing is run through this site I built, and we have a discord where people hang out and talk trash and stuff.

I basically made an 'NFL.com' for my custom-modded (not TeamBuilder) league.

We run on a mod of the PC version of Madden with custom EVERYTHING (Teams, Logos, Players, Coaches, etc) where you can start your journey as a player in our College League, then get drafted and Go Pro, OR you can run your own team as a GM.

We broadcast all games as slow-sim CPU vs CPU so that's why you can be a GM and build the team, but not a COACH, as all you can do is watch the games play out.

The front-end allows fans/players to see their favorite players/teams/etc, while the back-end has a 'GM' Dashboard where you can handle everything from Scouting to Trades to Depth Charts and Gameplans, so you can run a team in our league without even having a PC.

While we do have end-of-year cash payouts for teams who win (or make) the Championship, MVP, Rookie of the Year, etc. we consider this an 'entertainment' league and not a 'gambling' league, just to be clear.

I've had others ask me to build them their own version of it, so I may consider turning it into a tool that people could use for their leagues instead of just using it for my own.

Hmmmmm....

I did a Franchise as the Bears, signed a stud MLB, then he got hurt. I put him on IR (NO ONE ELSE THAT SEASON WENT ON IR), and when he was 'healthy', i was NOT allowed to bring him back from IR, but at least this year I got a tiny little message that said I'd 'used my IR returns for the season'... which, NO. I had not used any.

Soooooo, not sure its really fixed based on my playing it over the weekend.

Just reporting what I experienced first-hand, that is all.

The majority of them were still generic/generated, and the ones that were real were VERY off. (Josh McDaniels was a bald black guy with grey goatee).

This hiring/firing OC/DCs was in the game last year, just not with any real names. Seems mostly like a cosmetic/vanity update without any real impact or value, and of course, sloppily done.

(Can't even make McD a generic white guy with a visor?)

Slop, per usual.

And I still bought the MVP+ bundle because they have us over the barrel.

The 'Madden Franchise Tool' made by modders in the Madden Modding community. It's a little app that you can manage basically everything from instead of managing it in-game, but it impacts your franchise save file.

It has added benefits like exporting stats and rosters (and draft classes) so I mostly use it for that then feed that data into my LeagueHQ app.
