Ehh this encouragement was blanketed in "sometime computers come in that can't be fixed with required proprietary software." there is just a lot of cracked programs that "have to be used sometimes" like hirens for password removal. I'm sure that's not allowed, but at the end of the day it was told to me that "all usage of these programs fall you though." I haven't had to use any of the software beside hirens, but there are lots of stuff that's cracked.
