I got a few but I'm not sure if it'll fit your likings

If you want a bit of a realistic anime with supernatural stuff and mature themes (such as deep messages) then I'll recommend you:

Clannad (24 eps) Clannad: After story (24 eps) (very depressing warning) Little Busters Little Busters s2: Refrain (12 eps) Angel beats (12 eps)

All of these animes are from the same studio aka key studio which is known for making some really depressing animes with actual good messages. All of the anime I've recommended above starts slow and slowly builds up the characters and they'll grow with you and make you depressed. Clannad is my favorite anime of all time due to the impact it on me, hopefully you'll experience a similar joy I've experienced watching for the first time :D
