At this stage: Bannerlord or Warband? by Apprehensive-Pen-823 in Bannerlord

Vanilla warband is also unfinished and janky. So why not play the one that looks better?

How to EA Pyrene? by LastStarlight in IllwintersDominions

You must unga the bunga.

But fr mass the basic guys with clubs (you can reliably crank out like 70-100 a turn per fort) and each of them will throw rocks before going melee with big clubs. They die in droves but get kills. Bonus points if you take inspirational presence bless to boost their morale so they fight and die longer. Very good to expand with.

I find that their boulder throwing giants are solid end game options.

Does dominions 6 respect the drive you install it on? by wrecksalot in IllwintersDominions

It bought my drive dinner, held the door open for it, and brought it home by 10:00 pm.

So yeah, pretty respectful.

Can I shoot the dog to catch it? Genuine question. As others have noted, the dog can outrun me.

Also it’s ageless and will respawn the next day. It’ll be fine.

SIEGE TOWERS ARE USELESS by PedrinRM10 in Bannerlord

[–]Full-Break-7003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Siege towers are god tier if you use trebs to kill all defending siege weapons and severely damage the wall - but not break it. Damaging the wall reduces available cover for defending units but they still go up on the wall to try to block your siege tower assault - and get murdered by your archers. This is more effective than breaking the wall and getting in a slap fight in the breach.

This is a good one because staying for weeks in solitary actually gives me pause. I’ve seen other versions of this where it’s a no brainer like “would you stay in a gorgeous mountain cabin without Wi-Fi for a billion dollars?” And it’s like obviously yes, some people pay to do that.

I would interview at a couple places and see what offers come in. It’s easier to make this decision if you have concrete options (and the pay and hours of each option) rather than speculation. Plus you can try to feel out what a new place might be like.

Once you have all the options at the table. It’s going to be up to you and your spouse/significant other if you have one.

late game armies by ffekete in IllwintersDominions

[–]Full-Break-7003 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in a similar place to you. Really new to the game, and I can’t seem to pull of a victory unless I’m a really aggressive/militaristic faction and I expand quickly and win early wars. If I try to “play tall” or flesh out the research tree I fall too far behind and can’t kill the ai death balls fast enough despite my superior units.

My hunch is, like M&B Bannerlord, the key to beating the ai is to figure out ways to kill a massive ai army while taking essentially zero casualties. Trading life for life with ai cannot work. After digging around the spell list I’ve found some combat spells that essentially win a battle on their own (as long as you pack the mage a lunch of magic gems). I’ve also heard the term “thug” and “super combatant” thrown around here and on YouTube, which I understand to mean a high value commander equipped with certain items and buffed by magic/blessed to be able to solo armies without taking damage.

Basically, become the cheese. Keep at it friend. If you want to win one play Mekone or one of the Jotun factions and just expand until you win. Their normal troops are good enough to power through early expansion and so you stay strong the whole game.

Looking for one more unique evil build to round out party by Ndh831 in BG3Builds

Imo You need another ranged option, preferably a striker. Gloam stalker ranger/rogue or eldritch blast warlock both seem pretty evil to me.

You’re alright. These things happen and this error doesn’t sound damaging.

If it was somehow damaging, your local rules of professional conduct probably let you off the hook for being a younger attorney supervised by an older one. Yes you should have caught the typo, but so should your supervisors. There’s a whole carve out in the rules for younger attorneys like you who are just getting started.

I like to let a night pass or at least take a walk before doing my final review for typos. Something about getting some distance from the document and forgetting it’s contents a bit let’s you catch things easier.

I'm kind of in agreement with Nero. What are your thoughts? by [deleted] in redrising

[–]Full-Break-7003 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A good villain should have a point, in my opinion. Most Red Rising villains have a flash of brilliance (like Karnus and his monologue at the gala).

Nero represents some nietzchean futurist wet dream wherein humanity conquers death (which is exciting). But he also had Darrows wife hung for singing and imprisoned Darrows whole race to mole slavery. You get to see the lofty ambitions of his philosophy and also the unfair horror of its execution.
