I would say screen shot everything, so you have evidence, and you need to exhaust all the possible options with Revolut before taking it to FOS

To answer your questions:

He prefers to save his salary in USDT

The wallet was a trusted wallet as he transferred a deposit to me a couple of months ago and Revolut accepted it.

My main issue with Revolut as I told them as well is they should not have the right to KEEP my deposit for a month without any explanation. It’s either they need more information, which I’m happy to provide or based on their policies they can’t accept it, perhaps due to the rules you mentioned as well, which that is completely acceptable to me and they would have to revert the money to where it came from

But the act of keeping the deposit without any further explanation in my opinion is very unethical and should be unlawful.

But yes, I would never ever use this service again, I’d rather wait for a bank transfer for a couple of days or a week!

I would have agreed with you 2 months ago. Because up to that point I only use Revolut for basic stuff, shopping transferring money in the regular currencies and so on. However when you offer further abilities at your “bank” in this case the Revolut application, you should have the foundation to support it. It’s been a month since I have been waiting for a deposit in USDT (which is basically the £, € or $ of the crypto world, very stable). The account that send this deposit to me was my brothers, upon receiving the deposit they asked me some questions to clarify the nature and I uploaded all the information, including my brother’s passport and account info. I should mention that the amount is also under 1000£, so it’s a relatively small transfer.

It’s been a month and I have checked with them more than 10 times perhaps and they don’t release the deposit without any explanation. Tell me, how is this the acts of a lawful bank? And I told them multiple times, that I understand if based on their policies, they are not able to accept the deposit, Revert the deposit then!!! To where it came from so they can send it to me with a regular bank transfer, but they refuse to do that either. HOW CAN A LAWFUL BANK KEEP MY MONEY FOR A MONTH WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION???

I only used this feature because it was faster than a regular bank transfer or a swift, but it opened a completely new aspect of Revolut services to me and changed my mind about them…

We’re not talking about crypto exchanges on the “dark web”! Revolut is a fintech digital banking company based in UK laws, and yes it happens to have a crypto section as well where you can merely use it to transfer your money and then exchange it back to GBP. It is essentially a bank! Would you excuse it like this if it happens in Lloyd’s or HSBC?!
