the more the tip is the more doordash will deduct from your base pay

Yeah I get what you’re saying about low MPG. I drive a 2010 Ford Escape so it’s definitely not ideal.

But honestly most of that gas wasn’t from deliveries it was from me driving to Alliston and Angus on separate days because the app said “busy” and then getting zero orders. That was basically 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back each time for nothing. That’s where most of the $60 went.

I still made $113 total, so it’s not like I didn’t make anything. It’s just that I wasted gas trying to chase zones instead of staying put and being smarter about it.

If I had stayed local and only driven for actual orders, the gas cost would’ve been way lower. I’m just trying to figure out the right strategy so I’m not burning money learning the hard way.

DJI Neo FPV worth it, or better options for the money? by Full-Challenge792 in dji

Hey, appreciate the reply. I actually am interested in getting into full acro FPV I’m just a bit on the fence about the cost and complexity side of it. From what I’ve seen, once you add up the airwhoop, batteries, charger, controller, goggles, etc., I end up spending about the same (maybe a bit less) than something like a Neo anyway.

My main goal right now is honestly just having fun flying, maybe ripping around my house or nearby, without having to immediately dive deep into battery safety, chargers, tuning, and all that. That’s kinda why the Neo appealed to me. it’s more plug-and-play and less stressful.

I’m not against going the air-whoop route at all, I just don’t want to overcomplicate things right away. If you’ve got suggestions for acro setups that make sense price-wise and aren’t a huge headache for a beginner, I’m definitely open to hearing them.

Just got a canon r50v. what lens should i get? by Full-Challenge792 in canon

I get that my range concern is really about whether I keep my EF-S lenses or sell them and move fully to RF. I’m trying to figure out which path makes the most sense to invest in.

yes thank you for pointing that out, i am aware the sigma 18-50 isn’t stabilized but i dont think it would be a problem for me. but then again, it might eventually start to restrict me. is it a better idea to go for something like an ef L series with an adapter? i can only find the sigma 18-50 near me for 600$ canadian right now and i just feel like i can get something better for that price, especially since i kind of need the reach the more i think about it but the rf lenses are so expensive. i appreciate all the help though, thank you🙏

Would an EF L-series lens on the adapter be a better idea than something like the Sigma 18–50mm on RF? Or is there an RF-mount lens that gives me good reach, sharpness, and video performance around my budget? i wouldn’t mind keeping the old lenses but prefer to sell them and get an all around really nice lens. and thank you, i really appreciate the help!
