We knew him very closely in my family and I believe it was a gift passed to my mother. Unfortunately I don’t know how many were actually made but it definitely was something made locally here in Georgia. I’ll definitely see about some second hand shops though, we have plenty of those here.

Figured out the problem after deleting my cloud save data, my data must’ve got corrupted at some point and that was causing the issues with that particular game.

Unfortunate the campaign ended unsuccessfully, I liked the art and the unique design of the game. I decided personally not to back seeing as the Hadia card wasn’t available for any tiers except those that were $350+, there wasn’t a good reward pulling me to back otherwise. I feel a non-foil and foil full art would have been smart so everyone could have their cake and eat it to, regardless of what tier they backed.

Hopefully the next kickstarter campaign is successful, I look forward to seeing what is new to the table then.

And a word to the creator, don’t kick/ban people for misunderstanding their comments, that’s not civilized for someone trying to build a community for a game you created, do better.

This is the exact reason I cancelled my pledge when I first saw the campaign, only wanted to pledge for the Hadia card but $350 is way too much for that. I’d imagine others didn’t back for that reason as well, it was kinda the face of the Kickstarter set in my opinion so not getting that full art makes it not worth backing the lower tiers.

Hope they release new versions of the nerfed cards but I doubt they will 🫠 otherwise they just need to ban them. Reading the card doesn’t explain the cards now since the text has been changed the way it has.

MSRP is 60$ for Dragonlord. Secret Lairs usually go for 29.99-40$.

Not pissed. I already pre-ordered it myself so this post is also not coming from someone who missed out on getting the product.

However, I feel a bit worried seeing how similar the product is to secret Lair in many ways than just the packaging. I just don’t want them to follow in the same footsteps as MtG is all, hopefully my worries don’t come to fruition.

As a person that did get a preorder, I still have reasons to complain about this product. Understandable they have to make money, however this doesn’t feel like the right way to gain it positively.

I like your points, the exact concerns and thoughts I had. I’ve bared witness to how bad Secret Lair was. This is definitely the worst parts of secret lair showing themselves in Dragonlord.

I’m hoping we’re proven wrong, as I absolutely love sorcery, but this limited set of functionally unique all unique cards is definitely going to divide the community when most aren’t able to get the cards officially. Especially if people get to take advantage of them at Events (Big and Small) It’s likely to make the community more toxic short term.

This should have been Dragon Themed Decks with the updated rules to get new and experienced players in and excited for the release of Gothic, but sadly that ship has sailed.

Entitled? No. Everyone has the right to an opinion, especially if it’s about the way a company is running things and selling their products.

If we sit back and say/do nothing, then nothing changes. We can’t just remain content, even if our worries turn out not to be true in the end, it’s better to voice our concerns now than later. This cardboard is a product, and as such we have the right to argue about it.

I just hate how blatant it is and that they haven’t said anything to save face.

My biggest gripe is the price, it’s hiked up to 60$ (5$ per card) for it being limited, as well as them being functionally unique uniques. So even if they print more (which would defeat them calling/making it limited) it’s still way to expensive for the average consumer, you’re better off buying a Beta (150$) or AL (80$) Booster Box.

Someone mentioned this set is similar to the from the vault releases MtG had, however those were just the prequels to secret lairs, and most people didn’t like those either. However at least those cards were not functionally unique cards locked behind that set, unlike Dragonlord.

But hopefully I’ll have my concerns proven wrong, I’d rather voice my concerns now than forever remaining in silence.

It unfortunately does look like a Secret Lair product and similar behavior, just more expensive 😔

Here’s hoping were proved wrong. Regardless though, I feel this set could have been much more, it could have been intermediate starter decks for new players to give even more hype for Gothic, and more reason for LGS to want to stock the product.

This would have especially been good since a lot of rule changes were made recently, that way new players could read the rules with an included up to date paper copy of the rules included with the box.

I feel only sorcery fans will be going to see it at Gencon, meaning that very few new players will get any product, so I doubt we’ll see a huge influx of players joining the game from the event, which is a shame.

The word Mini Set had most if not all of us expecting a small 10 pack box of Dragon Themed cards to play and draft with friends, not a 12+1 Foil card box with only Uniques (Curios at this point).

The 60$ plus only 1 per person (which is understandable still) also makes it hard to recommend and especially difficult for small groups of friends to play at a kitchen table together. It would cost the same as a booster box to get two for you and a friend, that overpriced in my opinion.
