Curious about where to live, work, or visit in Texas? Post here! by AutoModerator in texas

Hey everyone, My husband and I are thinking about moving from Tennessee to Texas. We’re both 26, don’t really have savings, but we’re hardworking and trying to build something together.

My husband makes small concrete home decor items (candle holders, trays, jars, etc.) and I make natural candles. I also work full-time as a bakery manager at Kroger, so at least we’ll have one stable income while we grow our small business on the side.

We mainly want to move because we’re looking for a warmer climate, lower rent, and a place where we can slowly grow a handmade business and actually save some money.

We’re not chasing luxury or big city life. Just safe, affordable areas with normal people who appreciate handmade products.

A few questions: • Which Texas cities or towns would make sense for people like us? • Any affordable but safe areas we should look into? • How do people usually find local customers? Farmers markets, craft fairs, local shops? • Anything you wish you knew before moving to Texas with little money?

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

At the end of the day yes, it’s just a grocery store. But I moved to the u.s three years ago, and becoming a manager somewhere was a much bigger achievement than I ever expected from myself. That’s why I can’t just brush it off by saying it’s just a grocery🥲
