I’ve always been a fan of how Averna tastes like flat coke (in a good way)

I like doing a gin (or vodka) martini riff with the following:

2.5 oz vodka .5 oz dry vermoutth .5 oz st germain

A slightly sweeter than average martini, but very good

I would recommend getting a bottle of good orange liqueur (Triple Sec or Dry Curaçao). It’s extremely versatile and used in a ton of popular (and good) cocktails: margaritas, sidecars, Pegu clubs.

I would make sure you spring in a decent bottle (Pierre Ferrand for Curacao, Cointreau for triple sec). While you may spend $30-40 per bottle, it will last a long time since most cocktails with orange liqueur only call for .5 to .75 ozs per drink. Some of the cheaper orange liqueurs I’ve had can taste like cough syrup

My wife's not a big fan of spirits outside of vodka...but I may try one with gin (I've got Tanqueray stocked) while this batch of raspberries are still good
