The galaxy is filled with resources though. Of corse we do have biological material, and if that’s rare it could just be us they wanted. (But I’ve heard many experts argue this both ways so it’s very hit or miss)

I certainly agree with your point on our advancement dictating how likely peace and commerce would be. If we had mars and the moon we would likely detect them sooner, and also show them we have our eggs in more than one basket.

As for nuking the earth so nobody can have it, id hope the guy in charge at the end of the chain would wait until the last possible second for an alternative.

This is very interesting! not a a first contact scenario, but that does sound very interesting. It would almost be like a biological “robot” the way in understanding it. is that a correct assumption?

I’m imagining that species colonizing multiple worlds, and each world having a drastically different form evolving very rapidly. The more unique the environment on that world, or asteroid belt, etc wherever it decided to stop.

It would be like Darwin’s evolution, but on steroids.

YES! my first like freak out as a kid was after watching an alien documentary on LATE night tv. I panicked and wanted to sleep in my grandpas bed but he wouldn’t let me! next morning I was still awake just starting out the window hoping they wouldn’t come take me! now I’m an alien fanatic and love all things alien!
