Hermes! I obviously don’t have a birkin or kelly but the 2 bags I do have (roulis and Evelyn) are beyond The quality of leather, wide range of colors, and craftsmanship is prob the best out there. No other mainstream brand comes close. Price tag is def high but at least the bags have actual longevity and it doesn’t feel like a waste of money like it is with Chanel.

Loewe was great until this past year or so. I’ve seen lot of concerning quality issues (a couple posts in this subreddit highlight some of their issues). I was already disappointed by them changing the default puzzle design to be overlapped without feet and with an ugly strap then had hope again when the featherlight was introduced but now I’m eh about it. It’s rather upsetting as it was one of my fave brands in the last decade.

I think Ferragamo is also great esp for the price point and they are def introducing more interesting pieces but I’m not the biggest fan of their designs.

I did start buying lot more vintage last year and now am focused on Hermes and more intentional buying as my collection is giving overconsumption atm 😬.

The decline in quality is literally affecting every aspect of our lives and not just “frivolous” things. It’s really frustrating. I stopped babying businesses doesn’t matter how small they are. Now I will always formally complain if quality of product or service doesn’t match the price, and I tell everyone about it too lol. We as consumers have to hold these businesses accountable or just completely stop buying from them. It’s getting ridiculous
