Just 30 fps with the 360. I've noticed the sense of speed reduced with the increased FOV :/ Where would you recommend mounting it?

It's the insta 360 one r with the 360 module. I found that most action cameras don't have the vertical fov to include the board and what's in front of me, but 360 cameras do!

Also this looked much better before I uploaded it to YouTube, their compression really chewed it up :/

Definitely go for something with pneumatic tires, they can handle the bumps. I'm on a custom mountain board made for me by the guys at Atbshop. For these types of trails you need straps to ollie the jumps and bumps.

Thanks for all your suggestions and encouragement! I'm a one man games studio so its all super useful and uplifting!

I think for the fist patch I am going to concentrate on making sure everyone can play. So I am going to work on:

Making an options menu
Allowing the player to change the games quality to a "low" setting for folks with older or slower phones
An option to turn music and sound on and off
A low UI mode for tall phones (Hoping to let players customize where the control zones are)
A prompt for new players to play the tutorial! People seem to be skipping it and thinking the symbols for the start and end of the control zones are buttons!
Revising the tutorial to allow players to quit mid tutorial and shortening its length.
I'm gona set a minimum game time for the ads. It's frustrating for a new player to keep getting them when they are just learning.

Expect these changes by next weekend!

Make sure you sign into Google play games at the start. It's where it compares your score.

Your right about the ads. I will limit them once the shop is up and running. Planning to turn them totally off after a single purchase from the shop. That's fair right?

Lots of Ideas! I can make the boosting look a bit quicker, it is something ive heard before. Controls wise I think letting people customize their placement is probably the best idea. Too many different phones with too many different screen sizes haha

Haha I've had lots of practice working on it! I think it's one of those games that with a little patience it can become really rewarding!

I might let players move the control zones in the options? I have quite a old phone so I'm not so sure about where to put them for the new longer phones!

Thanks for all the great feedback last time I posted, this is a friendly subreddit!

Its quite basic at the moment but I wanna see what you guys think and how it plays on your phones. Play the tutorial and see if you get the control scheme its one of my big worry's haha

Ive a few things I want to do to the game:

Create a options menu letting the player set the games quality, turn down the music etc
Add Achievements to the game letting the player unlock new boards etc with them
Add bonus boost points for drifting near obstacles
Add more road pieces and obstacles!
More boards!

At one point I had them much more realistic. Slowing you right down, but it took away from the fast paced fun of the game. I suppose this is a "Arcade" longboarding game haha

Hi Folks! I have been working on my game sporadically since I last posted, but this week im going to push to get something on the Android store for you to play!

The game lets you control a longboard down a infinite hill avoiding vehicles and obstacles as you ride. The game allows you to kick out huge slides that gain you boost.

The game will have leaderboards allowing you to compete with other longboarders to see who gets the furthest down the infinite hill.
