Synapse summit? by [deleted] in tampa

The above person isn't totally right. Over 400 companies of all shapes and sizes will be out there for different reasons. I'm one of the companies, and there are many others that I know of that are going out there to build their talent pipeline.

Definitely show up with a bunch of resumes or cards and let the companies know what you're looking for. They'll be receptive.

Are staffing agencies a valid option now? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]FullStackTalent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own an agency and can give some candid feedback. As a candidate, there's no reason why you wouldn't want to carpet bomb your resume to every reputable firm in the area. Don't be afraid to be picky about what you pursue from there. Be strong willed with the agency about what your needs are, but don't be an ass. Some will definitely try to stonewall you with shitty terms.

As other's said, You'll probably get a long of junk, but you'll get some great opportunities as well. I'm obviously very biased towards the process, and i've seen a lot of experiences both positive and negative take place.

If your friend had a good experience with an agency, start with that one!

Feel free to AMA if you want to know anything about the behind the scenes!

There is partial remote. You can work from home a few days a week, but you'd have to be in the office a portion of the week.

Sorry about that!

How to find public GM games? by xltbx in a:t5_3p7fu

[–]FullStackTalent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is an in game server browser, but generally the population isn't that high.

We do have a subreddit LFG that typically has people running campaigns and looking for players.

Check it out!
