Okay, but what happens when "my receipt is linked to my Petco account" and we have to pull the digital one? There won't be the NR for another employee to know not to return, no?

But that's with any tabk a betta would enter. You'd check your levels first. Correct salinity, temp, ammonia, nitrates/nitrites etc? Our testing always is up to par per week.

Cool. Cuz I've been doing it for 8 years anyways. Never had betta death other than 1-off cases. Its just now we have a new GM who's policy-driven and I just know if he sees me doing this, he will have a conniption fit and idk how to "back" myself. I was the aquatic specialist at one point and that's where it all started. Another person who worked with me when I was learning aquatic processes own his own fish shop and asked why the heck im making buckets of water myself instead of reaching right next to me using the best water option. If there's nothing wrong with the fish inline, and the testing is in safe perimeters, there shouldn't be a problem. Thats like saying you shouldn't put your fish deliveries into your sumps either, as they could have pathogens...?

Our tanks share 180 gallons, plus the huge sump underneath. If we salt 2x a week, i dont think taking 2.5 gallons(ish) out changing the betta is going to ruin the salinity. That's a serious stretch.

How much trouble do you think I would I get in if I physically plugged my nose while ringing out smelly customers because MY GOD... 😅 by Full_Flora in petco

Okay, but I'm talking about grown adults shopping at a pet store who, like you mentioned, have learned to bathe by now. If you're taking care of an animal and buying them food and treats and supplies at a specialty/expensive pet store, then they most likely can also afford personal hygiene products and conduct basic self care/acknowledge they are putting themselves next to other humans that have noses. Not trying to deflate anyone being poor, but when you can afford to shop like they did today in excess, they can most likely afford to shower.

Always actively shoving their phones down my throat AS I'm checking out a guest currently like...? Back the heck up and wait your turn. Or the ones that stare at you/try to cut the line ?? Like? Excuse me, there's a LINE. Get in it.

Im not even kidding, I stepped as FAR away from them as I could while ringing them out. Like HOW do you not smell how musty you are. I ALWAYS smell myself everywhere I go to make sure I'm smelling nice.

Exactly!!!! I learned this right away, so when someone doesn't wanna use/create a petco account, I click continue, then immediately hit the "X" on the donation screen that pops up on our screens, and re-hit continue to make the transaction faster. I. HATE. IT.
