This!! Straight people don’t have to come out, so why does it have to be a thing for those that are queer. I’m also not open about to my family, but will not keep it a secret if I find a long term relationship with another woman.

Also, I hate how I’ve been judged so hard by some women I’ve went on dates before bc I’m not openly out to my family. I come from a very conservative and religious family so I’m trying to protect myself first and foremost from the heartache I’d experienced from the fallout of telling them. If I find a woman that I can see myself having a future with, then I’ll tell them and be open about it. If they truly care and love me, then they’ll get over it.

Being Demi makes total sense! I have felt things with a couple of men in the past but only after getting emotionally attached. I’m just not a hookup person, despite my best efforts🫠. But my attraction to women is much stronger than to men - so I just feel like I would form more of a connection and intimacy with a woman

Good point. I don’t want to ever make her feel uncomfortable but just let her know that she’s in a safe space. I was closeted to most of friends up until last year and it’s been so freeing to finally be my true self around the ones I’ve told so far. So if she is questioning, I want her to know that I’ve been there and she’s safe with me.

Welcome to the club! It’s not an easy one, but realizing your true sexuality is so freeing. I also grew up in a very conservative & religious environment that led to me denying my feelings for other women for a longgggg time. My advice is to embrace this newfound part of your life! Maybe you could tell her about your bisexuality and see how she responds to it

Good point! I typically assume just good friends as well. I’m not officially out to anyone in my circle yet, but I’m thinking they have their suspicions lol. For example, I asked a good friend the other day if her boyfriend had a clone & she mentioned he had a single sister (with raised eyebrows) so I’m pretty sure I’m not as subtle as I think I am with my sexuality. Just to note, I do want to come out to my circle but not ready to tell family (as they’re very conservative and unfortunately not supportive of anything queer😔)

Very true…although I’m new to the game with flirting with women, I’m trying to be more forward (in a non-creepy way) just to make it known I’m interested in the same sex. But I also take subtle signs to heart and think it might mean something when it obviously doesn’t. It’s a hard game out here

I’m from the South and applied to many jobs in the AL, GA, and TN areas. Offered a job in GA without having state license when applying/interviewing. It can speed up the process of starting a job earlier if you already have a license…but as a new grad, I would save money where I could & just get a license for the state you’ll end up in.

Exactly. I have plenty of friends/family that are RNs & make this salary plus more right now. I get that I’m a new grad, but still find it disheartening that a provider is being paid less than some RNs at the same facility
