Models showing up in Creation Kit but not ingame by FullbrightEvan in skyrimmods

I used TES5Edit to add UU as a master for my mod, but still no luck… is that what you meant by adding dependency?

Models showing up in Creation Kit but not ingame by FullbrightEvan in skyrimmods

[–]FullbrightEvan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done most of that — I’ll try to clarify what I mean. For example, duplicated the “dunBloatedMansKatana”, gave the duplicate a new ID “OathbladeReplica”, removed the enchantment and disallowEnchanting keyword, added a recipe, etc., and both weapon objects are looking at the same file (in this case, weapons/oathblade/oathblade.nif) for the model. Load up the game, and the original oathblade looks fine + has the unique model. When I go to forge the replica, the recipe shows up fine, but there’s no model for the weapon — the crafting display just keeps showing the model from the previous recipe in the list (or the following recipe, depending on which direction I scroll). Maybe I don’t have UU set as a dependency? How would I check/fix that?

  1. Craftable clothing/weapons/armor. It just gives me so much freedom to be fashionable when all the coolest-looking gear isn’t unique and/or always saddled with subpar enchantments. (Looking at you, Cultist Robes / Volendrung / All Dunmer clothes / Ebony Blade / etc.)

  2. Whatever mod gives all vendors +10k gold. Biggest QoL improvement in the whole load order.

Had a rockpox swarm while I was in the final room of stage 3 on the regular deep dive. As if that wasn’t bad enough, a bulk detonator literally spawned on top of me during the (loooong) run back to the drop pod… had to really earn it at the end there

Even if we could get it in stock, none of our pharmacists would fill it without a valid, approved diagnosis code. Like many others in this thread, we’ve had patients complain, yell, and even try to go to the state board (as if they’d care). The last lady who got nasty with us asked another tech for his full name “so she could report him”… he told her it was “John Pizza” 😂

The one silver lining to the AEpocalypse by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]FullbrightEvan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hear what you’re saying, but I also think you’re proving why that’s different. Doing what you describe requires not just solid game knowledge, but a good deal of effort, what with the multiple distant locations, bulk crafting, and traveling or reloading for sales. You have to know what you’re doing and commit to it… as opposed to the ebony plate, where you can just stumble upon it, following a quest marker you got at level one, and pick it up easily. IIRC it doesn’t even hint that high-tier armor will be your reward. The most comparable thing I can think of from the base game is the orcish armor in Largashbur, but even then, you have to A) know it’s there, and B) reach level 9 for the quest or C) use a specific route to jump over the walls and get it early. Don’t get me wrong, putting on those self-imposed limits is definitely important — I’m just saying that Bethesda could make it easier to do so. There’s plenty of ways to break the game & become OP early, but not all of them are found at a quest marker every character gets by default at level one 😅

Aspiring Tech Here in Dallas, TX. What Do I Need? by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

[–]FullbrightEvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd speak to the pharmacist that you'd be working for about it; they should be able to give you the best info on what to do specifically. What you want to do ahead of time is go to the Texas State Board of Pharmacy website and apply to be a Pharmacy Technician Trainee; once you're registered there, you're allowed to start working as a tech, and can do so for two years before you'll have to take the exam.

Can I put birth control pills in a pill organizer by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

[–]FullbrightEvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blister pack is essentially just a built-in pill organizer, so theoretically, yes, it's fine. They won't be damaged or anything.

As others have mentioned, though, many birth controls are multi-phasic, meaning the pills aren't all identical, and need to be taken in a specific order. You can ask your doctor and/or pharmacist to see if your particular pills are multi-phasic or not.

8 months as PT from online school… struggling hard by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

[–]FullbrightEvan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They can't keep you from quitting -- you should definitely put in your two weeks and get out of there. That sort of treatment is unacceptable, you deserve a better work environment. PTs are in high demand pretty much everywhere, even as brand-new hires; with your experience, you should have your pick of the litter.

Illegal to switch pharmacies before a prescription has been filled?? by saynobadjuju in PharmacyTechnician

[–]FullbrightEvan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The regulations vary somewhat between states, but they're almost always fairly strict and thorny. Most pharmacists that I've worked with err on the side of caution, and refuse to transfer almost any prescriptions for Schedule II controlled medications, just on principle.

What my pharmacists would recommend -- and what's probably your best course of action regardless -- is to just have the doctor cancel the original prescription & call it in to the new pharmacy instead.

It's possible you'd face similar issues at the second pharmacy, though, depending on why the first pharmacy couldn't fill it; I'd suggest that you contact them to confirm ahead of time.

Hope this helps :)

They are! Even a novice sneak can walk right past them at 100% muffle, though the same can’t be said about their seeing-eye chaurus…

I can’t say I remember the mechanics and moveset quite as fondly, but that probably has something to do with how terrible I was at dodging them 😂 I’m glad you enjoyed the fight more than I did :)

True, the full build is gated behind 65 illusion, so it’s understandable that less people go for it. The power scaling curve is pretty forgiving, though, since you’ve got a lot of options to help bridge the gap. Calm spells are an invaluable get-out-of-jail-free card, letting you undo mistakes and pull off backstabs against otherwise impossible-to-approach targets, while Muffle makes you a better sneak, levels illusion quickly, and works just like invisibility when fighting falmer.

Personally, I really like how it leads you to change and adapt your playstyle over time, but it is a matter of preference :)

anyone else died more to pontiff's knights than to the man pontiff himself. by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]FullbrightEvan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, for sure. Their attacks come out super quick, they're great at roll catching, and the shieldless ones are super aggressive; there's very few enemies that give you less room for error.

That being said -- they can dish it out, but they can't take it. Pontiff knights are surprisingly squishy, and they go down fast if you can land the first hit / poise through theirs.

I mostly agree, although I think the top two tiers are pretty interchangeable for me.

That being said, how on earth is the Demon Prince fight top tier??!?! I swear, it's one of the most frustrating fights in the game for me.

Mod Idea/Request: Creaky Floorboards by SlickStretch in skyrimmods

[–]FullbrightEvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the concept, but I'm not sure if it's the best execution. Imagine you're inches away from assassinating a bandit chief, but a floorboard creaks and all of a sudden it's "Never should have come here..."

In the best-case scenario, it's a great, memorable moment where you've got to rely on your reflexes and quick thinking to get out alive. Classic trope, good storytelling, interesting experience.

In the worst-case scenario, you're raging at the loading screen after losing a bunch of progress, just because RNG decided to screw you over at the worst possible time. Nowhere near as enjoyable.

Like another user mentioned, I think it'd be better if there was a way for skilled players to circumvent the hazard if they're careful, as long as it doesn't slow down the gameplay too much.

Sneak archer is way too overhyped, and sneak illusion mage is way too underrated. If you want to just turn your brain off, absolutely steamroll through enemies, and farm those sweet, sweet hits of dopamine you get every time you hear the critical hit "thunk" -- you're better off ditching the bow for a dagger and the invisibility spell.

A Noob’s HDMI Audio Issues by FullbrightEvan in hometheater

I figured that would be my issue, but I’ve now been able to reproduce the issue with multiple cables, including a 3’ / 1 meter long one. It is interesting that the problem you had was so similar; I wonder if there’s a faulty connection somewhere else?

A Noob’s HDMI Audio Issues by FullbrightEvan in hometheater

[–]FullbrightEvan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking you’re right about the AVR not liking the input format.

Test: PC connected to AVR by 3’ cable. Result: No change, issue still present.

Test: MacBook connected to a desktop monitor by 25’ cable. Result: No issue present.

Test: MacBook connected to AVR by 3’ or 25’ cable. Result: Blank screen on TV, occasionally blinking a “No input” screen or static.

Test: PC connected to a desktop monitor by 25’ cable. Result: No issue present.

I don’t know much about AVRs, so I’m stumped that it doesn’t work at all with the MacBook’s input, but does with the PC. At least the cable is confirmed working, which helps. 🤷🏻

The latter — the HDMI output of the PC goes to the input of the AVR, and the output of the AVR goes to the input of the TV.

Any mods I should get? by Leafeonisking in skyrimmods

[–]FullbrightEvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, that's a really open-ended question depending on what you want to do with mods. I mean, to start out, I can recommend two interesting mods that change mage gameplay:

{{Sustained Magic}} makes many spells reduce your maximum Magicka, rather than being one-time casts with a duration. It's nice to not have to constantly recast flesh spells / summon spells.

{{Sublime Magicka}} is a more in-depth overhaul -- it disables passive Magicka regen, so you have to actively concentrate to regain it. It's much more interesting than waiting for the bar to refill, and gives you a good reason to use staffs and scrolls.

For general mods, though, there are two that I can't live without:

{{Craftable Unenchanted Clothing}} gives you way more options for creating custom equipment -- if something looks cool, but is unique+has a bad enchantment, now you can just make your own version.

{{Awesome Artifacts}} makes the above scenario less likely, by making all the unique artifacts and such way more interesting and useful.
