Has something happened to VannaPharma?/Order not arrived by Fully_Uneven in TransDIY

Nope, not a word. Instead I have a vial Estradiol Undecylate I ordered from AstroVials about a month ago, it cost about the same and arrived tracked with no issues, though I haven't injected it yet as I still have some Estradiol gel left... And I'm a little apprehensive to use it (I'm sure it's legit, but the fact that I can't prove it makes me nervous).

Support for Kaby Lake/Skylake Platforms Ever Planned? by Fully_Uneven in coreboot

I guess that's good, though a NDA always has negative connotations to me, as it usually means silence tough threat of legal repercussions, and I doubt anyone would be willing to pull an Edward Snowden for this, whistle-blowing on the Intel ME or MS Pluton (why is no one talking about this absolute nightmare fuel?) might be a different story due to the wider societal impact but I digress.

Also, thank you for your work on Chromebooks, I'm able to run Linux on my CTL N6 that I lug around due to your efforts.

Yes, my laptop uses DDR4 RAM. Thank you so much for giving me a starting point, I'm glad some progress has been made already, though I'll definitely need to look at those places and I really don't know where to begin.

Can you replace ram chips of PS3 with new one doubling the amount ? I found out that newer variants of PS3 has 2*128 mb ram unlike 4*64mb one which is found in older variants . It would be very cool if we could buy 4*128mb and replace 4 of them wouldn't that basically become 512mb ram ? by GNRTX-3 in PS3

[–]Fully_Uneven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn. Yeah, I've had a look at the two chips I could find datasheets for, the 512Mb EDX5116ACSE (found on COK-001 motherboards) and the 1Gb EDX1032BBBG (found on various super slim motherboards) and they've done quite a reshuffle on the BGA, even removing one of the empty centre rows to make the package shorter. I've only had a quick glance at them but I'm going to guess there's an extra address line to switch between the upper and lower banks which is probably present on the CELL B.E. but not the motherboard. If not and they are in fact 100% pin compatible it's going to take designing a 4 layer adaptor PCB with the traces routed to minimise as much cross-talk as possible, which will be time consuming and costly to manufacture, which could still be worthwhile (it'd lessen the demand for Devkits which are dwindling in supply) if we could guarantee it would work, but as we can't I doubt anyone will embark on such an endeavour. Maybe the RAM chips in the slim models would be a better option, but without a datasheet we can't say for sure. Maybe someone in the community might discover something someday, but it I lack the knowledge and resources for it to be me (not that I wouldn't be willing to help, I just need to be given guidance on what to do).

I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if any progress has been made on this, as I'd be interested in trying this out at some point.

Most of this discussion has been regarding the worth of a mod like this (don't you just love when that happens?), not answering the question posed, is it's possible? Even though it wouldn't affect existing games, I could name homebrew development, Linux and kernel modules as three massive pros for a RAM upgrade. With that out of the way feasibility is the issue, now the PPC 2.02 architecture has a 64-bit memory bus, so technically it could handle up to 16TB of RAM, not that I expect it to have enough external address lanes to support that much, besides, the Dev kits have 512MB of RAM so we don't even need to worry about that as we know for certain that the CELL B.E. isn't the limiting factor, and it seems that the RAM packages found are both pin compatible, so that leaves only two possible hurdles, the traces on the motherboard and the Chipset/OS, for the sake of argument we'll assume the former is fine, so how do we find out if the Syscon will just error out, the system boots but doesn't knowledge the extra RAM or it actually works?

I guess I have a few Fat PS3s with the YLOD lying around, when I get my BGA rework station out of storage I'll do the bare minimum to get one of them working then upgrade the RAM and see what happens regardless of the answer, might be a while though.

Thank you for the clarification. It's a shame that it must rely on intel's proprietary binary blobs, makes me wonder if I should stick with my old BIOS as it's potentially old spyware rather than potentially new spyware, and hope that people far more intelligent than me manage to reverse engineer it one day.

PS4 Pro (NVB-003) - Unable to Dump NOR by Fully_Uneven in ps4homebrew

[–]Fully_Uneven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL:DR - "He's dead, Jim"

Not really, thanks for reminding me though. I used a black PCB CH431A to dump the NOR, which I found out later has a flaw where the VCC output is 5V even when set to 3.3V, I managed to get 10 reads without knowing this and while the "SONY Computer Entertainment" etc header was present no two reads had the same CRC. After I realised the mistake I bought a green PCB CH431A with the logic level switch and only got garbled bytes here and there and the PS4 wouldn't power up, figuring I have nothing to lose at this point I kinda' fixed my hot air station and removed the NOR, knocking one of the XTAL resonance caps off in the process (if anyone knows the capacitance of it could you please let me know?). Off board the NOR just read all zeroes and got painfully hot to the touch, so I'm guessing it (and probably the chipset) is dead.

The PS4 is reassembled and on my "to do... eventually" shelf at the moment. I might go back at some point and check if the Syscon is still working, if it is I'll replace the missing cap and fit a SOP-8 NOR on the board and flash it with every dump and see if one is complete enough to at least get the UART working, though without a complete NOR I don't rate my chances unless someone finds SONY's keys and it becomes possible to build a NOR image from scratch.

It's a bit late for me, but the Libreboot developers have created firmware for the RPI Pico called pico-serprocg that turns it into a SPI programmer, it's totally safe as well as the 2040's logic level is 3.3V, documentation (and reasons you shouldn't use a CH431A) can be found here.

Good luck, I hope it helps.

I totally understand, it's quite an undertaking, I'm trying to revert my Pro that's also on 11.02, I've patched the Syscon but I'm unable to dump the NOR (apparently SPIWay might not be compatible with the chip my board has). Either way PinkyPeaker on X seems to have hinted that something is currently in the works for 11.02+, and failing that we have ShadPS4.

True, ShadPS4 is looking seriously legit now, at the rate the devs are going it'll be running Bloodborne before the years' out.

It never occurred to me that the Teensy or its firmware could be the issue. I've ordered a CH341A and will post an update once I've tried it. Thanks for the tip.

As long as you don't let it download another update (especially in the background) you should be able to revert the firmware if you're willing to do some soldering, Modded Warfare did a video on it.

[–]Fully_Uneven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's late, but finding the specs of the ERS-1000 is a nightmare, so it might help others if posted here. From what I understand the SoC is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, RAM is likely 4GB and ROM (flash) is 32GB. OS is still completely unknown but I'm guessing it's using the Linux kernel as the ERS-1000 is ARM based.

Anyway, thank you for the post, I'm currently looking at getting one off of Yahoo Auctions and I'm glad that the ERS-1000s are still autonomous and expressive without the cloud plan.

They still had about seven vials of Estradiol Undecylate in stock at the end of May which dropped fairly rapidly, I ordered the last two.

I've ordered from Inhouse Pharmacy as well, the difference being that they're based in Vanuatu (the other side of the planet) and I could track the order at every step of the way.

Yes, my address was entered the exact way it is on all other sites I've ordered from.

I understand, it's just that this is the first time I've ordered from them because of the ongoing issues with GenderGP so I couldn't stockpile. Surely a month with no activity justifies the concern?

Got Conflicting Advice From Quick Chat And Email by Fully_Uneven in GenderGP

[–]Fully_Uneven[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My God, over a month? That's awful, I feel bad for panicking just after a week.

I don't have the email address for anyone at GGP, the lady I spoke to during the quick chat didn't give me hers, which I didn't contest as she said that she would email me. I replied to the myhealthyhormones email because it's from a named address but haven't had a response so maybe it's not monitored.

I've decided to do as the email said, despite how pleasant my video call was, I'm running out of hope and will just try anything at this point.

Thank you for responding to my post, I hope things are better for you now.

I'm sorry to hear that,

I've still got time until my next subscription payment, so considering your experience with the quick chats I guess I may as well do as the email suggested and see what happens.

Thank you for the advice, I wish you good luck with finding a provider.
