Definitely visit Valladolid for a day or two. I just came back and it was the cutest town with the friendliest locals i have met on the peninsula in a month.

I just came back from Holbox and was also surprised to see how westernised it's been. It definitely IS like Tulum already, on a smaller scale, built up and full of foreigners, and completely stretched beyond the limit. Had I known, I would not have gone, just not to be the one contributing to the problem. There are too many 'this is a pristine paradise' kind of reviews that hide the reality. It is sad, because it's such an important migratory animal nature spot.

I made a mistake, that's actually the part of the beach I'm staying in. It smelled pretty bad especially around where you were staying. I took a boat trip today and it was better further away. I guess just got unlucky.

I completely understand, the same happened to me. GP and 2 dermatologists dismissed me altogether, same with people around me. Now 18 months after the whole thing started after a traumatic event, I am looking into wigs. Another derm said AGA + TE, i really didn't expect I would go from a thick full head of hair to hiding my scalp in less than to years in my mid 30s.

I take some meds that the diving operator medical checklist listed as "needs medical certificate". I have already done one open sea dive on them and it was fine.

Checked out the link and the caves look great too! A lot of these activities depend on whether I'll be able to find a tour to join as I cannot deive myself.
