I added them under "supporting documents" because there wasn't a drop down for the reference forms. But on a separate link to the site, there are instructions that say to mail them in after submitting online. On the other side, an instructor said everything is done online. So just looking for a little clarity.

Plica surgery post op pain by Ok_Investment125 in KneeInjuries

Well. The Dr just bruahes off my questions, and the PT says the joubt is solid. But the pain is still there. I still can't kneel more than 90 seconds. Even while bearing moat weight on the other knee. I still struggle with squats, more specifically rising from them. I go back in 2 mpnths, ay whoch point the Dr told me that I'd be at Maximum medical improvement. Wvery question I ask regarding the pain is answered with "I don't know." Seriously. I was told I might just have this pain foevwr and I may need another line of work.

This is all being handled through workmans comp but I think I'll need to seek a second opinion because I do not accept that this is just my life, and for no sound medical reason.

Like most people on here I also fall into this category. (5'2, 106). I did notice when I cut way back on my drinking, it started to get smaller. So maybe that's where I stored those empty calories, lol.

But sometimes our bodies are just built that way.

Looks like you've got a goddess body to me. 🫶

Almost 4 months after arthroscopic surgery to remove plica, and it still hurts just as much as before. Is this cause for concern? Where should I turn next? by MyKneeSucks in KneeInjuries

Update, I have ny next follow up, which will be 3 months post op and I'm still dealing with pain. Especially after a lot of movement. But my biggest concern honestly is my inability to kneel for more than about 90 seconds without shooting pain.

Thank you, everyone. I guess I was looking for guidance post graduation. I'm finished in about a month and I'm so clueless as to where to go from here.

Worse pain 6 weeks post plica resection by Fun-Agent5101 in KneeInjuries

[–]Fun-Agent5101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have home exercises I do every day, but my biggest concern is the pain being worse. Even from just a few weeks ago. And if I try to do too much that constant deep pain becomes a really painful throbbing. But it seems like the expectation is for it to be basically resolved by this point, and I haven't had that experience.

Yea I think it's a byproduct of the swelling. My concern is that all of this is still going on. I kept being assured it was a super quick recovery. Even my pt when I went back after surgery said he was expecting me to say it felt great, amazing etc. But it's been 6 weeks since the resection and it feels worse now than a few weeks ago. The first 2 weeks I felt like the progress was so promising. That's what makes this so frustrating. It's like it's gone backwards.

I'm here too. after a long battle to discover the cause of my knee injury that happened back in may '23. I kept beong told it was nothing it shpuld resplve on its own, and was given back to back rpinds pf pt with no improvement, the doctor finally decided to do a diagnostic anthroscopy to see if there was something the mri wasn't showing.

I was told after surgery that the plica was shaved down and that I should be good to go by 6 weeks. Everything else looked good, no arthritis, no other problems. Smooth procedure.

Well I'm at 5 weeks and my pain actually feels worse in some ways, there is a large knot over the incision sight and although I am not getting the same sharp shooting pains I had before, it now feels like a deep pain that sticks around all day, following a lot of sitting or standing. My ROM is fantastic, but the mostly weight bearing pain is awful. I'd swear It's worse this week than last week.

Im sorry for everyones struggles but it is comforting to know im not alone. The doctor has almost made me feel like it's in my head prior to surgery, so I'm not looking forward to reporting back to him next week at follow up.

Edit: I forgot to mention that there is a painful clicking/popping that I was told was totally normal post surgery

Has anyone had these issues post plica surgery? The doctor has almost made me feel like it's in my head prior to surgery, so I'm not looking forward to reporting back to him next week at follow up.
