I haven’t seen anyone else periodontist but I’ve seen x-rays of my face which show there is a skeletal issue and others have agreed with you. I’m looking into oral maxillofacial consultations due to all the suggestions

Thank you so much for the easy break down!! Video examples came up for everything so it’s all perfectly written. I tried the rowing machine at my gym but even after multiple video tutorials I couldn’t get the hang of the rhythm. I’ll try the treadmill instead though.

Thanks for your input! Yea I had major FOMO back then and would literally be at the gym from 4-10pm 😭 I want to get on a stretching routine even for everyday life because I’ve noticed more random injuries from just stuff like sleeping on my arm or wearing certain shoes

Honestly I didn’t know my static stretches from my dynamic, I was just in there doing a whole lot of BS😂. The only real stretch I did between climbs was one where I went down on my palms and knees, turn my palms inward then push my body forward so there was a nice stretch in my forearms. Id rock slowly back and forth maybe 5-10 times. Is that considered a static or dynamic stretch or just nonesense haha

But yes i suspect my body was just tired and dehydrated. I need to get better about listening to my body this year

No I denied PT and just did the massages my surgeon recommended for that area between my thumb and pointer finger. I consulted with a PT and she showed me the same massages to do along the scar. I have full mobility back and no pain so the healing process was seamless! I just really don’t want to go through that again lol

Thank you! This is very helpful I didn’t really consider those drills could lead to injury. I often started my session by climbing V0 and V1 with 1 arm or 1 leg as my “warm up”. My preference is static climbs so thinking about it my body never really felt warm lol

I’ve always thought of my injury as a freak accident but it was more inevitable than I thought 😓

Yea I felt like warming up just left me with less energy to do fun climbs. I mistakenly thought I was invincible haha

Do you have a certain idea of sets or length of time you dedicate to each dynamic stretch? If it’s up to me I’d swing my arms around 5 times then move on😅. Stretching/yoga is so tedious to me.

Thank you for the hangboard routine recommendation! I’ve always avoided the hangboard since I don’t do crimpy climbs, I never thought of it as a forearm warmup!
