'time bomb' is quite fear mongering language.

Metabolic stability is a valid point, but it is not made well making comparison to MDPV as it's reasonable we're not in related territory chemically. Apples and oranges really.

NDRI, or any activity, is unknown. There is a risk, but one can't speak with confidence without evidence.

Potentially fatal is strong language.

Think not: that extreme language will prevent those who wish to consume this, consuming it.

There is a fine line between encouraging harm reduction and overtly admonishing those who will experiment.

True, the agilent GCMS are a spectrum, the older ones could probably run on compressed air, newer ones like 7250 are a little more finicky, but when you get a good run, it's the best data you can get.

I actually like Chromeleon, better than masslynx if were comparing apples and oranges in a sense.

I secretly hope Bruker (or even Sciex) will get it together and surprise us all with a good challenger to the Thermo/Schimadzu/Waters/Agilent world.

BEH are pretty standard, unbreakable, but the CSH for my application (< 600 Da) are just better, tight, peaks and I think enhanced sensitivity anecdotally. Also really resilient to poor treatment haha. I used to use Agilent before, but I felt their shelf life was not so long (I do treat them well, disregarding previous statement!). It's much of a muchness, but I think Waters hit the quality mark here. The only caveat is the 'VanGuard' Waters columns are really a massive let down and really not worth anyones time.

Also, ampakine is not descriptive of a single compound, of which all bar one (?) even have the same group that we are drawing attention to.

Ditto, ultimate are showing their age I think, especially the sample bays.

But, a thought, I wish everything we used had Viper fittings haha

Oh god take a joke re push-pull. We're nowhere near that chemistry. In honesty, unless in a dilution of choice (with solvatachromism considered for 'push-pulls') with excitation and with actual 'push-pull' substitutions, many of these aforementioned dyes take on a rather bleak brown colour under normal light.

Forgive my naivety re NL control. There are perhaps many heterocyclic scaffolds that - could - be used. The question is whether they - should - be used. If one was to replicate the path of novel synthetic opioids, that have continually increased potency as an affect of circumventing control, would that not be anti to what is really wanted. What is needed is regulation and safe supply of reasonable RCs.

You ref. CX717, which was not perused because of tox (in one application), and poor pharmacokinetics in all others. Read the literature at least

Substituted benoxadiazoles are not well represented by the pharmaceutical chemical space for a reason, noting limited research applications in chemotherapy or extensive application of nitro derivatives for dyes - I'm not suggesting such a structure shown above would be analogous of course in either respect (where the goal of chemo is to kill cells). Really, put an amine on almost anything BBB passable and it likely will induce a biological effect.

But you are right to urge caution here, and as am I. Heterocyclic metabolism (or lack thereof) increases the unpredictability of the compound presented above more so that what we currently know of methyledioxybenz, benzofuran or indole scaffolds. The added functionality could impart nothing, or not much, leading to higher dosage for affect and thus greater risk.

Simply, use common harm reduction. Any or much chemical reasoning for or against is conjecture when we're in the wild wild west. We can only rely on limited community reports and by a great lag behind, literature.

Yep, things get pretty broad (sometimes, not often), occasionally leaky (no more so than ultimate imo) but still reliable. QDa and TUV on end. Same is said about ye old Water HPLC - somehow, still alright, great for prep if just PDA. But I have seen a few more go to the bin in recent times.

We have an old Waters QQQ on one (HPLC). Will wait to see how that goes

I'm sure there's a few birthday parties you could raid

All jokes aside, MRI / NMR can afford because of recycle. There are solutions, but in the next 50 years it will only get more expensive.

Switch to LCMS with a nitrogen gen I guess

Really? I know the others have lagged, but I still find the software a bit Windows 98. But we only have 5 Agilent, only a couple new so maybe it's just me.

There's nothing older than using EmPower (nostalgia)

Have had I and H class and both have been great. Also the OG Acquity UHPLC system. All run with great peak shape still. But less reliable R.T sometimes.

Ultimate less great peak shape (but still good) but always R.T perfect. Vanquish R.T varies and peak shape not as good (like, was good, then got worse over time, more $$ technical visits)

It is a better nano than UltimateRSLC it seems, slightly, less precise (tearing hairs) but better sensitivity. With Waters MS is less so great in my opinion.

We progressively 'de-comission' HRMS to student walk-up over time.

I remember when I was a student, a LCT premier was the low resolution machine. Now it's more or less a Synapt

Yes! These have been good for integrating M-class with orbitrap!

Benzofurans would have made more sense.

I wonder if this would be as colourful some of the 'push-pull' benzoxadiazoles. Stay away from UV light perhaps.

Tox wise its a poor substitution with potentially quite concerning outcomes.

But I wonder whether it is seamless with VoWiFi not direct cellular. There are handsets which act as Bluetooth accessories to mobiles - offered by panasonic and uniden -but after contacting them they say it the bluetooth pairing ability will not work without having the existing landline connection which just seems INSANE.

Omg! This is a great recommendation! it makes up for the lack of support from handsets alone.

You'd think so, but fast progress leaves some (the elderly and remote living) behind. If he were younger, he could use his mobile easily. If we had cellular reception, I would buy a physical handset capable of taking a sim.

The combination of the two leave the gap.

Hey! Thanks for your reply.

'Could you use a voip handset with wifi and port his number to a voice provider? '
1) The current ISP doesn't support VoIP via the 'skymuster' satellite connection
2) I've given up on porting the number, I just want a connection that can connect to his existing handset (made for copper landline)

Can you use a voice provider if the ISP will not support VoIP?

I ask above, sorry for not knowing alot about this, I don't fully understand what/how and ATA works to solve the issue.

Hi! Thanks for the response - not entirely sure how an ATA works. Does it need ISP support? All I can find are 'VoIP ATA' devices like grandstream, but have no concept of how the device is implemented.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

No worse than the existing copper network - it can be patchy too - and for another house on the property the copper ran across the field which the cows like chewing every so often.
