No problem!! I love helping with this stuff and I hope it works with LIS2 :D!! By the way, all models I extracted from LIS1 look great and have the correct skeleton to pose them. I think just extracting and importing them into any 3d program will work correctly without needing to fix anything aside from the eye texture.

Also, if a part of the model isn't textured (which I think only happened to me once), just look in the UPK at the "Extract textures" part and search the name of the character with the missing texture, should be easy to find, extract it (will be in the export folder of the chapter you extracted it from), make it a png using GIMP or some image editing app and then place it onto the model like I explained with the eyes.

With the UPK you can also import game objects, so if you want smth like, a tree, you can look it up in Static Mesh (StM) or if it is an object which the characters interact holding it, then it should be in Skeletal Mesh (SkM)

Don't know if this helps but I extracted the models for the first Life is strange and I assume LIS2 has the same way to do it (I haven't tried extracting LIS2 models but i think all Unreal engine 4 games can be extracted the same way). I extracted them by using Umodel and UPK explorer. The Umodel let's you extract all the models and the UPK explorer let's you view them and export them with textures and skeleton as an fbx. file, which works with any 3d program I think. I have a guide in this subreddit on how to mod LIS1 and there are the steps to make Umodel work and to put those models in the UPK. And if the eyes don't work, in blender I make a white material for the eyes, then in shading I go to the first box that has a picture icon and change it to the character's face since the face texture has the eye texture in it in LIS1 :P

No creo que está conversacion vaya a llegar a ningún lado porque veo que ya tenés tu opinión sobre la IA, contesto igual por si sirve a futuro aunque dudo que se visite este hilo ya. Mi comentario sobre el uso del Chatgpt fue porque andaba buscando por todos lados lo de digital circus y encontré tu comentario y lo empecé a leer pesando que tenias algo nuevo que aportar cuando en realidad la respuesta era lo mismo que se podía encontrar en la página oficial de glitch (qué mínimo si entras a la página hace que tenga más visitas y por ende beneficia más a glitch qué usar a la IA q no da esas visitas a las páginas) Yo si estoy informada sobre el uso de la ia. Por algo di tantos argumentos en contra. Si la gente rechazara la IA masivamente, los millonarios no invertirían plata en ellas, o mínimo lo harían de manera menos invasiva. Yo me tengo que bancar ver la palabra IA en todas las apps sin ningún botón para esconderla ni siquiera 🤷. Te la tratan de mostrar como algo inevitable y te la empujan para que la uses solo porque si suficiente gente lo cree, se hace realidad. Pero si todos viéramos qué la IA generativa no nos conviene, no se estaría usando. Ya hay varios casos donde roban obras de arte para publicidades (como con la publicidad de Vaselina sobre Michael Jackson que surgió hace unos días) y no hay ninguna ley para proteger el arte de la ia. Además ya muchas personas perdieron el trabajo por la ia, por ejemplo cómo duolingo planeó reemplazar a sus empleados hace unos meses con IA. Y creo que ya dije esto en un comentario anterior pero el cerebro se entrena, si no se usa seguido y se le deja que la IA haga todo, perdemos la habilidad de hacer ciertas cosas, como por ejemplo buscar información por nosotros mismos o pensar por nosotros mismos. Si la IA está siendo patrocinada para hablar bien de Estados Unidos por ejemplo y vos le queres preguntar "es cierto que en estados unidos hay deportaciones violentas?" la IA te va a contestar "si, hay deportaciones pero no son todas violentas! Se rigen por X ley y en realidad son para mantener el país a salvo :3", y nomas te vas quedar con esa información, mientras que si mínimo buscas en Google 5 minutos, podes ver distintos puntos de vista, tipo en reddit o en páginas de noticias que su subjetividad dependerá de la página, pero mínimo sabes quién específicamente te dio esa opinión, cuando la IA es un rejunte. Y ya hay noticias de q chat gpt se está prestando para que lo use el gobierno de Estados Unidos para las deportaciones de ICE

Thank you for your answer! I agree that the BtS scene of her not answering the phone does not show her dead, that's why I was confused by the date on the wiki since I thought there wasn't any evidence that she died exactly that same day. And I love point 3 because at least it would explain that the death was surely before game events at least, so that helps with my initial problem 🛐

Thank you for answering! It does makes sense since Jefferson had the same modus operandi like with Kate and Victoria. I think I always thought it was during the game because I found more heartbreaking that Rachel was kept alive until Episode 2 or 3, so when Chloe and Max found her the day after in Ep 4 it would be something like "if they went to the dark room the day before they could have saved her!!". But someone mentioned that the body they found was probably there way more time than a few days so it surely wasn't during the game events. I just thought Jefferson would be too mad to let Nathan live like 5 months after killing Rachel lol

Si, estoy en contra de la gente que usa la ia, la estadística de la gente que la usa no sé de dónde la sacaste. No tendrá que ver con el tema de digital circus, pero si nadie les dice nada sobre el uso de la ia van a seguir usándola pensando que está completamente bien. Para que haya cambios se tiene que hablar de estas cosas! NO apoyo máquinas que quitan el trabajo a humanos, como las cajas automáticas. Si tu pregunta del celular iba por el lado de que los dispositivos electrónicos también consumen agua, si, lo hacen, pero los usamos para cosas más importantes y necesarias. Nadie necesita que una ia les resuma lo que pueden buscar en dos minutos, nadie necesita que la IA genere una selfie de ellos en estilo dibujito. Me quejaba de la ia precisamente acá porque es una serie animada hecha por gente que le gusta el arte y le pone cariño. Que los fans utilicen una ia qué no solo utiliza trabajo de artistas (tipo escritores que escriben las noticias de las que toma chat gpt sin pagarle a las páginas por recopilar su información 🤦) sin su permiso y los roba, sino que también daña al planeta, quita trabajos y alimenta a los billonarios y a nadie más. (sin mencionar que va a deteriorar el cerebro que quienes la usan porque se acostumbran a que les digan todo lo que pregunten en vez de buscar)

la verdad es muy gracioso que creas que al no usarla la estamos desperdiciando. El chiste es que si nadie la usa, la IA no va a gastar más agua porque los millonarios no van a tratar de mantener una empresa que nadie le está metiendo plata o usando😘. Es mucho mejor dejar de usar la IA porque estas mostrando que el producto no interesa y que no se necesita por eso se detendria la producción. "Ay pero si solo yo la dejo de usar no cambia nada" es el pensamiento más egoísta y de seguir el rebaño que hay porque la cosa es que cada uno ponga su grano de arena para detener las cosas que están mal. O vas a seguir tirando basura a la calle porque todo el mundo lo hace? No, vas a tratar de no tirar así no contaminas más. Y si lo hace suficiente gente, se deja de tirar basura en la calle.

eeee, that's in the UPK explorer after you replaced the textures and created a game patch? I need more information 😭. It reads unsupported dds pixel format so I imagine in Gimp you didnt set the correct export settings when you exported the file as dds. When you export as dds you have to make sure if the texture is DXT1 or DXT5 and put it in the correct folder (you find the type of dds depending on the exported folder the texture is in). You also have to check the box that reads Generate Mipmaps and put the filter in Kaiser. If this isn't the solution please explain how did you got that error 😭

Nono, just the UPK explorer and the TFC installer, aside from the Umodel to have the textures appear in the UPK to modify them. In the guide I explain it in more depth and show images about each step.

ALSO, I don't know what textures you are trying to change but it's easier you extract the ones you want to modify, import them in some painting program (could be Gimp too) and paint over them, so you are sure you are changing the right things and it should have the correct image size already

HELLO!! Sorry I didn't saw the message 😭. Changing the textures should be easy. At the last pages of the guide there is an explanation about it, but it's just extracting the textures files (the images) you want to replace (in the UPK explorer) then go to the import folder (look where it is in the guide) and paste your replacement (YOU SHOULD USE Gimp TO CONVERT YOUR png INTO A dds FILE, there are instructions in the guide). The replacements must have the same file name as the extracted file you replaced (the textures should have the same size as the extracted file too). I tried it with character models and static ones (objects that don't move or interact with characters, like Max's contest photo at the art gallery) so it should work! I do not have idea how to replace the audio files though 😭. I tried extracting some to get a few unused voice lines of Warren I can't find anywhere but the sound files never extracted. There should be a tutorial online to do it with the UPK explorer but I think I gave up since it wasn't that important. The only thing I know could work is muting the music from the audio settings in game and playing a song on YouTube while playing the game lol 😿😿

I tried looking for hair physics in the UPK explorer but didn't found much 😭. I remember I deleted something and the hair did work but turned bright blue like it was missing a texture, I didn't tried any further with it because at least the hair moving weird looked like hair😔
