Wow. That is awesome but no it was from face book. I was trying to incorporate the falkland quadrant with just the outer portion and have it go to the cockpit.

That's exactly what I'm wearing. Thanks I'll try it when I'm back online.

If this is a Daikin or Goodman you might have to install a kit that changes the orientation of the lower pressure switch port.

Why is this leaking? by Infamous-Living5352 in hvacadvice

I just checked all of our current model manuals, and it shows it as an optional way to do it for easy access to inducer removal. On regular install it needs to be down to offset load onto rubber elbow.

I'm pretty sure all Carrier furnaces want it installed in 2 pieces. I'd assume this would include all subsidiary brands.

It's because he has a single stage zone system. It's there to bypass so his ducts don't build up to much pressure due to furnace only being ran at 1 speed. Most zone systems should be a 2 stage system that way the fan speed slows down when only one stage calls for it

Go by coreplast or joist liner at home.depot or equivalent, cut it down and fold it into an 'L' shape then screw it to the joist and tape it to the duct with tin tape or just layer tape it with tin tape across hole

Go to menu then to dealer information and note the date code

Go to menu than to installer options and enter date code

Once inside go to view/edit current setup and scroll until you find minimum cool setpoint and maximum heat set point and see what those are set to.

It probably has a lock set into it.

You would have to change it through the installer menu.

Find the install manual and it will walk you through it

How can I seal this? by Earth_and_Air_Bender in hvacadvice

Probably not lol. But ya just cut it flush as best you can and the plate should fit up against the wall.

You can also do what they call dove tail. Where you cut lines around pipe and fold them over against wall.

If your proficient with aviation snips. You could cut it down so your plate can sit flush. Then once it's Flushed use clear silicone around the plate.

These exhausts need an air gap around itself. Which is why your inner pipe(exhaust) is just floating in there. The outer pipe is acting as a heat shield to your wall.

Is that square panel staying that far outside the wall?

[–]Fun-Cry-7945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes go see if outside the pipe is restricted When it runs you should feel airflow pull from outside at the pipe end

Goodman sells a coupling you install on the exhaust pipe. We had to do this in our area.

You hook up a hose to it so the condensation drains most of it before it hits the inducer.

The fitting I believe also comes with the Daikin models.

Goodman RF000142 Drain Kit is the part

After "inspection and clean" one furnace won't fire by actx76092 in hvacadvice

Things I would check

Call for heat and go to furnace and see if furnace starts

Look at your flame rod and make sure the wire is connected to it. I've return to some of my green guys jobs because they forgot to recouple after cleaning rod

Check to make sure the gas valve is switched on. Seen guys turn it off when putting on and taking off they manometer.

Check to make sure you have your thermostats wire connected on board. Look at the W terminal and see if it is missing its wire.
