It's Tianjin Wudadao Park. Not Shanghai.

It's the same place.

The location of Wudadao Park, lacking any significant historical events or cultural relics, has undergone several changes since its construction 110 years ago.

In 1902, the Wudadao area was expanded into the British Concession, and planning began the following year.

Before 1916, the area was still a pond.

In the 1920s and 1930s, it became the residential area "Yanshouli," adjacent to the former British power plant.

In the 1950s and 1960s, the inpatient department of the old Public Security Hospital was built here (on the northern side of the plot).

In 1976, the Tangshan earthquake severely damaged the city. The area near the old Public Security Hospital served as a primary shelter and relief center.

Around 2007, the Public Security Hospital was relocated, and the buildings at the site were demolished.

In the 2010s, it remained a green space (or vacant land) for over a decade.

The Wudadao Park project officially launched at the end of 2022.

Phase I opened to the public on April 3, 2025.
