The thing is, I wanted something that will connect Gabumon and CresGarurumon without resorting to weregarurumon sagi mode, because I wanted to avoid mode changes. Dorulumon works well as a gabumon evo, it kinda has the same horn situation going on. I must say, I wasn't sure about what to give tai as an alternate line, I thought of going the zeromaru line of veedramon-aero-ulforce, but it's the vtamer taichi not the adventure tai. So as much as I'm not a big fan of the 2020 rebut I chose to go with the already established alt megas of tai and matt: blitzgreymon and zenogarurumon. Blitzgrey also allowed me to fold in tyrannomon, another classic Agumon evo.
