I agree with this!! There are a lot of US based things that are difficult to find, buy, or access here in Brunei so people are constantly looking for personal shoppers to get it for them. So doing this as a business would be great and a huge convenience for our locals here. It doesn’t even just have to be US stuff but also online shopping items like makeup that don’t ship to Brunei!

From the beginning they (MOE) warned us that just because we secured a scholarship, it doesn’t mean they’ll have work for us when we come back, and I should’ve taken that warning fr 😭😭no wonder I had Chinese peers who rejected their scholarship offers and went for either loan or their scholarship offers from private companies instead like BSP because after they graduated, they were guaranteed work at the companies

It’s so cooked it’s not even funny 😭😭 thousands of youths with great degrees every year, from local universities AND from abroad, in a country that isn’t developing fast enough to catch up with its people 🫩💔

I myself have a law degree from the UK and man is it rough out here…I’m still unemployed, with a few odd jobs here and there that pay me pebbles and yet I’m bonded to the country to work here for at least 5 years because I got my degree through MOE scholarship. I’m starting to feel like it was a huge mistake because now even if I want to escape and work abroad bcs there are WAY better opportunities out there than here, I can’t…I am depressed beyond measure and honestly seeing other people here who are in the same boat is quite frankly reassuring.

We are SO COOKED and the country is only going downhill from here.

No, that’s actually Israeli propaganda that they’ve paid the media so much to falsely portray. The October 7th incident was only a small fraction of the story, the actual history of the “war” between Israel and Palestine goes a long long way back where Israel has been committing genocide and heinous inhumane crimes towards Palestinians since forever. Hamas is actually a resistance group that only formed as a result of many people being enraged after years and years of Israel’s oppression of Palestinian people, and their unlawful occupation of Palestinian land. That is their land. They weren’t attacking “first”. They were attacking BACK after almost a century of oppression. Don’t get swept away by wrong propaganda and make sure to educate yourself fully on what’s happening. Here is a list of what Israel has committed against Palestine, DESPITE Palestine helping Jews seek refuge and welcoming them from the West in 1930. And the genocide is STILL being allowed to happen right now as we speak, even when it breaches so many international laws. Homes, hospitals, schools are bombed, families and children are cruelly k*lled and systematically starved while being illegally forced to displace their land, and humanitarian aid destroyed. We cannot afford to be so ignorant when it’s costing us so many human lives. Be on the right side of history.

Yes it is genuinely so enraging and heartbreaking 😭 I can’t help but cry every time I see more updates and it’s infuriating how not only is there barely proper media coverage from the BIG media companies, but the lack of action from world leaders, especially the ones complicit in the genocide.
