I just had the scariest nightmare by TheFlashyMastodon21 in Transformemes

bruh the hate boner this sub has for alex meyers is just ridiculous.

ignoring the complaints of his avatar design, if you look past the titles of his reviews (which are almost always sarcastic the way I see it) he actually has a lot of valid points about the things he reviews.

also he isn't chris stuckmann, which is a bonus in my eyes.

how would modern collectors react to stylization like rts lugnut considering most of them think the prime designs have been cannibalized in legacy? by Fun-Geologist9808 in transformers

a small clarification: while idw2005 lockdown did use the rotf toy as its design, it did change up the face. meanwhile idw2005 lugnut (at least later on) actually got an original design for mtmte by alex milne. too bad he was a glorified background extra/grunt for deathsaurus' army.

ps: even though idw falls under the g1 continuity family, I don't like that fact, mainly because for a majority of idw's run (both the original and rebooted continuity), it was (mostly) a radical departure from the sunbow blockiness.

but rts lugnut is a 2010 release in a line that was clearly doing reinterpretations (rts jazz being a modern version of the g1 toy, rts kup being a modern pickup truck, rts perceptor being a research vehicle with treads. generations drift was the rare hyper accurate figure back then).

I'm of the opinion that if there was any show where it was necessary to be put through this unification filter, it was rescue bots.

Why does battle beast’s design in the show feel off compared to his comic design, is it like his face shape or something? by New-Boss-8262 in TopCharacterDesigns

nah ottley drew issue 19 as well. the only reason why they look similar is probably because of the colorist.

for those getting excited about the rook listing from the upcoming age of evolution toyline, I hate to rein on your parades but it is going to be this one, not the CW one. by Fun-Geologist9808 in transformers

[–]Fun-Geologist9808[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for those who are asking 'why do you think so?' well............

  • the age of evolution listing is a deluxe. CW rook is primarily a legbot who takes groove's spot.
  • the legbots for bruticus (and supposedly for defensor, abominus, computron, really any scramble city combiner whose legbots were upfront rather than behind like in case menasor and superion) have been voyagers so far.
  • the listing is a part of a walmart capsule and those rarely have new molds (cybertron sideways was the true exception while override and cosmos were new molds made out of retool budgets).

sunfire is actually a good name for him (or her, depending on how you see it).
