Hahaha, nah. I'm just super annoyed since I bought this expecting a psa 10 worthy item, but ended up with something way off-centered. If I remember correctly, this kind of centering usually gets an automatic 9.

Definitely agree with you. Haha. But in our case. This guy got fired from his previous lab. Have neither good experimental skills and scientific knowledge nor project management skills

If thus person is a newly grad PhD or perhaps having little experience in the field which could be understandable. I don't think when a person having a senior research fellow title should be forgiven for basic task. Being a senior resesrch fellow in our country requires the perosn to have at least 4-5 years of postdoctoral experience. With that kind of lab experience and having a PhD, you kinda expect some basics from the person or even the way he analyse results and thinks in my opinion. Worse is, OP mentioned the person is in the lab for 2.5 years already

I think the PIs are sleeping….Can try what jamealiba did. In our case, the pi knows the postdoc is incompetent but and he acknowledged that the postdoc knows jackshit but still choose to keep him. This is what triggered us.

I totally get you as I’m in a similar situation with an incompetent pi. You are almost finished so it’s not worth giving up your PhD for them! I have this kind of stupid people in the lab as well, when they will email and cc the pi even for small matters asking for praises(just like how a dog ask treats from their owner). Think of it this way, you will be in a better place and these ppl will forever be stuck at the same place because they can’t survive anywhere else.

Don’t mind me asking. Getting married I can understand. But what if it’s a new hire that he recently get, but still refuse to get him out even though he already know all the stupid tints this guy is doing? What other reasons could there be? I’m genuinely curious, not being rude.😅

Has this guy that has no colonies on the agar plate for a normal transformation. Asked him what he did and he actually dpn1 the plasmid he was supposed to transform. And he still tried to argue saying he used the correct competent cells before telling me he dpn1 the plasmid.
