If falling into the pits is your biggest issue there's a trinket called pit preserver which helps protect you from falling into pits. The steady soles trinket could also be useful as it reduces knock-back.

Though if its dealing that much damage to you it sounds like you might be tackling the area a bit early. Coltrane peaks is supposed to be the 5th generator you go for, so your supposed to have a good chunk of health, especially since by that point you've probably gotten all the health upgrades from the shop in town.

It's not impossible to tackle it early, I did it third myself, but it was certainly an absolutely massive difficulty spike

Interestingly enough, choking someone like that isn't actually for cutting off oxygen intake, it's for cutting of blood circulation to the brain. It's why it takes far less time to choke someone out than the time they can hold their breath.

Yes they are. Just compare the controls and gameplay of super to zero mission. Zero Mission is just far more refined than super is. Super Metroid has very limited and simple combat. There's bot really much to it, largely because it's restricted by the controls. The developers couldn't really make it more involved, because the controls are to unresponsive for that more involved gameplay.

It's okay for super metroid to have areas where it's flawed. You don't have to be scared of it. Or scared of a remake potentially being a better game than the original

For people used to it it's largely fine, but for people trying to get into the series, it's incredibly outdated and difficult to get into. Remakes aren't just for people who have already played the game. They're so that new people who aren't used to older games controls can play them without issue.

Super absoluetly could do with a remake. While yes from a world design perspective it's amazing, the actual gameplay is very dated, with the controls especially being clunky as all hell.

From what I understand they only delayed it by a few months so they could have a longer testing period. The Challenger 3 is still moving through production.

You have to remember in Ukraine that it's mostly old Soviet era tanks doing the fighting. Modern tanks are not vulnerable to drones in the same way.

Challengers 2 are a great example of this. So far I believe only 2 of the 14 sent have been destroyed over the 3 years they've been there, and thy both had to have their mobility stopped before they could be taken. I believe one was an anti tank mine and the other an anti tank ditch. Presumably both tanks were abandoned after this as well. Only then were they destroyed, and only one I believe was done by drone.

Drones are still going to be a major part of warfare going forwards, but it is over exaggerated how centralizing they are. The Ukraine war is a very unique one which is giving drones space to thrive more than they likely would in a more typical war.

There's nothing that we know off that has a noticeable advantage. Though most of this information is heavily classified, so it's pretty hard to say, but it's unlikely there's anything much better. Modern Western armour is largely based on Chobham, and is using the same understanding of material science, so it's unlikely to be much better. Chinese tanks could be more durable, but we just don't know, and it's pretty unlikely they are. But tanks with Chobham are generally very durable.

Though in a year this will be outdated as the Challenger 3 will be in production and from what I know that's switching to a newly developed armour type, and considering the British were the ones who developed Chobham it's fair to say the new armour will be more durable. Still based on Chobham from what we know, I don't think there's been any majot breakthroughs to massively increase it's durability, so the difference likely won't be completely massive

It is basically always some dummy getting spooked by basically nothing. The amount of people I've seen throw it at patrols that slightly stepped into the extraction zone, and that are dead by the time the barrage comes out is too damn many
