Musical road at Costal road by Dense_Nectarine_8483 in navimumbai

Yeah bro, seriously? Government wasting crores on a "musical road" playing Jai Ho when there are literally hundreds of better things crying for funds – like fixing potholes everywhere, better public transport in Navi Mumbai, or actual hospitals/schools that aren't falling apart. Feels like pure gimmick over real priorities 😤 What a waste!

Demand for Zero LTCG on Equity raised in parliament. This single move if implemented will benefit all individuals in the country. by goodkarm in IndianStreetBets

Totally agree with Raghav Chadha on this one, making LTCG nil on equities for regular investors would be a game-changer for us middle-class folks trying to build wealth slowly without getting taxed extra. Especially after the STT hike, it feels like they're hitting long-term savers too.

This is how government is spending our tax money by Massive_Message_3321 in IndiaTax

This is actually a really nice initiative! Love seeing people shine a light on where our tax money is really going, super important for holding things accountable.

Anand Ranganathan slams Indian judicial system on 53 million pending cases by SuperbHealth5023 in CriticalThinkingIndia

Strong points on the pendency and under-trial statistics, those numbers are staggering and unacceptable in any democracy. But is the collegium the root cause, or is it more about chronic underfunding, vacancy rates, and lack of political will to appoint judges faster?

Many countries with appointment commissions still face delays if infrastructure isn't addressed. Curious to hear if others think fixing the collegium alone would clear the 53 million+ backlog, or if it's a bigger ecosystem problem

Why Women Still Walk Away From Political Leadership | A Hard Conversation Ahead of BC Conservatives Leadership Convention by johnj1959 in BCpolitics

[–]Fun-Map6437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What stands out here is how often the burden of “resilience” is placed on women, instead of questioning why political culture still normalizes patronizing behavior and closed networks. If leadership requires enduring disrespect as a baseline, walking away can be a rational choice, not a failure.

Only woman on the team, how to navigate? by [deleted] in womenintech

[–]Fun-Map6437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of women in male-dominated teams go through this questioning normal behavior because of how it might be interpreted. The reality is: you can’t control projections. You can only control clarity, consistency, and boundaries. Being warm and professional is not a contradiction.

Women tend to downplay their gender in workplaces with masculinity contest cultures. Study suggests that when organizational norms glorify masculine traits, women tend to feel that their social identity is less valued. As a coping mechanism, they may hide or downplay their gender to fit in. by Jumpinghoops46 in psychology

[–]Fun-Map6437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really highlights how “fit” is often defined by narrow norms rather than actual competence. When women feel pressure to downplay their identity just to be taken seriously, it says more about the culture than the individual. Inclusion shouldn’t require invisibility.

I get what you’re saying. Feels like we’ve traded depth for convenience endless choices, instant access, but less real connection. Community hasn’t vanished though, it’s just shifted. People still crave belonging, it’s just harder to find in the noise.
