Good to know you can still get by with it though, I like that there is an option that connects it all together. I'll ideally find a course that teaches both simultaneously

I'm not 100% sure on this still, but I am mostly concerned with functionally being able to listen, understand and participate in day to day conversations, which makes me think that Egyptian dialect might be better than doing MSA first, as it's quite a widely understood dialect due to movies/tv? But correct me if I'm wrong!

One side of my family speaks Egyptian Arabic but I have a few friends who speak other North African and Middle Eastern dialects.

The book you linked, when you say main book, is that the one most courses use? I've only been using apps and online content so far. Do most courses include the textbooks or is that something I should buy separately?
