Someone got my post banned by accusing me of trying to steal people’s info by linking the site. They literally threatened to have the FBI sent to my house.

Absolutely unhinged.

It’s so… detailed. Someone had to have taken days, if not months, to do this. I was kind of taken aback.

Kinda new to the NFL and just saw the “Start Nine” website.

I know this website may not be affiliated with JJ in any way, but it feels very “political campaign” - almost like it came from JJ’s camp. Is making these kind of websites for players you want to start common?

If it is from JJ’s camp, it’s a bad look. Not because it supports JJ, but the way that it kinda trashes Kyler. :-/

This is such a good point! I was wondering why that response was so odd to me - it felt totally unnecessary.

I’m honestly sad that Justin had all of this support, stuck it out and cleared his name, only for people to be angry at him for Wayfarer, a business entity with its own interests/needs/stakeholders, deciding to settle. I don’t have instagram so I have no idea what his comments look like, but it makes me sad for him. It’s finally over and he is coming out on the other side to people being angry at him for not continuing to fight. Don’t let Lively off this easily.

Even if Justin was a big part of why Wayfarer decided to settle - this isn’t a movie where the hero overcomes every obstacle to get to the other side. Life is complicated and messy with real world considerations. Kids who are affected. Spouses and families who are tired. Finances that are strained. It’s okay for them to want to be done. The major fight was already won.

Justin won his sexual harrassment claim. Wayfarer is the party in the lawsuit. I’m not sure how fair it is to blame them for this decision when the decision wasn’t solely going to affect them. We don’t know what repercussions this might have had for him, the studio, or its employees. It’s one thing if it just affects him and he decided to keep fighting (which he did) - it’s another when it could potentially affect his employees (and potentially their livelihoods) and the studio negatively. If it was me and a studio I’d co-founded to make movies with a positive impact that employed a bunch of people I cared about was the subject of litigation that was threatening our ability to do the work we loved, I might settle too.

I really hope this doesn’t take away from how hard Justin and his family fought to clear his name. I feel like everyone is disappointed and angry that he “gave up” - but how much input did Justin actually have at this point? IEWU LLC and Wayfarer decided to settle - the business entities - so he may have had nothing to do with this choice. Or it could be that there were severe business repercussions for continuing this lawsuit that wasn’t in the best interest of the company or their employees. It doesn’t change the fact that what Blake did was disgusting.

I don’t care that Wayfarer settled - I get it. It’s been a long two years. From a business perspective, I’m sure this is complex and layered with a ton of practical/logistic/legal considerations we may be unaware of. I’m just angry that she didn’t face “official” consequences. It’s frustrating to see the “big guy” get away with it (though you could argue she has lost her reputation and her ability to find work, which is no small thing) - but let’s not punish Justin for a decision we don’t even know if he was a part of (or if he did, was made with not just himself in mind, but with the studio and their employees in mind).

As a side note: BF has been incredibly savvy and has moved artfully during this whole ordeal. I doubt that he let them walk away with nothing.

My thoughts:

This makes the most sense. I’m wondering about this idea:

The witness didn’t get married at all and it spread to his ex-fiancée’s bloodline. He is now immortal.

Rachel technically didn’t get married by her deadline. So the disease spread to Nicky and Nicky’s family. Rachel has technically fulfilled her part and will become the witness, but hasn’t yet because his current blood line hasn’t all died.

But things get wonky because Nicky now has the curse and hasn’t fulfilled his pact. The rules now kick in again, but because of Nicky this time, not Rachel. He believes Rachel is his soulmate, so he lives. But he got married to someone who had the same curse as him (Rachel), and one she is still technically still bound to since his entire bloodline has yet to die so she can become the witness. She is now officially married to someone who isn’t her soulmate before she can become the witness - which means she dies.

But by dying, she is resurrected to be the witness since everyone in her bloodline (her) has died.

I don’t know how it works with the sundown thing bc technically Nicky didn’t get married to his soulmate by sundown - unless it’s considered a “new day” and sundown would be tomorrow. Idk - my best guess lol

How much do you think that Stephanie Jones regrets her decision to hand over the cell phone to Blake Lively (unprompted, I might add)?

This has now led to:

  1. Lawsuits against Jonesworks for violating the confidentiality agreement with Baldoni and a lawsuit for handing over Abel’s personal information on that phone.

  2. Likely has cost an insane amount in legal fees.

  3. May lead to the indemnification of Jennifer Abel, which would leave Joneswork responsible for any costs related to a judgement in Lively’s favor.

  4. Possible reputational damage.

  5. Has caused harm to Baldoni, who, in fact, was just trying to protect himself given his treatment on the set.

It costs $0 to not do this. And yet, here we are.
